Scoops: Sanjay Dutt to shoot a TV promo for 'Sanju', Sonam Kapoor to take a break from work

The team of Helicopter Eela had a screening of the Pradeep Sarkar directorial recently. What was interesting to note about this preview was that lead actress Kajol, her mother and veteran actress Tanuja and daughter Nysa Devgan were all watching it together.

While it was nice to see the three women enjoying the slice-of-life film, it also reiterates the makers’ message that Helicopter Eela, which releases this Friday, has complete appeal for a family audience. It was sheer coincidence that Kajol, Tanuja and Nysa were colour coordinated in black and white outfits. How cool is that!

Sonam K Ahuja has been working round the clock. Soon after wrapping up Shelly Chopra’s Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga with her daddy Anil Kapoor, she moved on to the sets of The Zoya Factor, where she had been shooting nights. Now, we hear that she will take off for a getaway. “Sonam wants to maintain a good balance between her work life and marriage. She will take a month off her schedule and spend time with her husband Anand Ahuja in London,” says a source, adding, “After she returns, she will resume shoot for the Abhishek Sharma directorial.”

Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic on Sanjay Dutt, Sanju, which has done a business of Rs 300-crore plus nationally, is all set to have its television premiere this month. The channel that is telecasting the Ranbir Kapoor starrer has roped in Sanjay to shoot a special promo for the on-air date. Says a source, “Sanju will be shooting the promo sometime next week in Mumbai. He will share anecdotes about the movie and his life. This will give viewers a micro view of his life.”

Sonu Sood is known to be a fitness fanatic, and it seems his obsession extends to anything related to this ‘F’ word. The hunky actor, who was committed to attend a recent event in Andheri, for the Fit India Campaign that he supports, was afraid he would miss it due to the bad traffic situation. 

So, instead of cursing the jam, he decided to find a way to beat it. He sought the help of a biker to aid to him reach his venue in time. Amused by Sonu’s request, the biker was initially hesitant as he was apparently going to meet his wife. Fortunately for the Paltan actor, the motorcyclist agreed to ride pillion with him. After they reached his destination, the actor thanked the rider and posed for a selfie with him, so he could show his wife why he was delayed.

Sonu recalls, “I couldn’t afford to be late, so I convinced this guy to help me with his bike and reach the venue in time. Though he was surprised by my request, I’m thankful he agreed to bail me out of the bad traffic situation.”

After two decades, Annu Kapoor will once again host the iconic musical show Antakshari. As the channel is organising the wedding of a real-life couple as part of Zee Rishtey Awards, there will be a sangeet function followed by Antakshari. The one-hour show will see actors like Vinay Jain, Shikha Singh and Sehban Azim participating in it. Says Annu, “My production house has been pitching the show to the channel to air it on a regular basis. It has a great repeat value and people are interested in watching it.”
