This year, the audience will not only see Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif sharing screen space in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat but the two actors will also be dancing together to a reprised version of the superstar’s hit track O O Jaane Jaana. The Tiger Zinda Hai co-stars will gyrate to the beats of the latest version for Sooraj Pancholi and Isabelle Kaif-starrer Time To Dance. But we hear that the shoot of the track had to be pushed ahead. Says a source, “Two versions of the song were supposed to be shot — one with the film’s younger leads and one with Salman and Katrina. But after Kat hurt her ankle, she has been advised to take rest and not aggravate her injury. They will still shoot the track, but only at a later date. The plan has been pushed by a few weeks now. Once Katrina’s injury heals, she will get back to rehearsals and perform.”

In the wake of last Thursday’s terror attack in Pulwama (Jammu & Kashmir), filmmaker Dinesh Vijan (producer of Stree and Hindi Medium) has decided to not release his future projects in Pakistan, making a clear statement of his stand on no-tolerance towards terrorism.

He has opted to cancel the contracts with Pakistani distributors for films. Not only has Dinesh decided to not release his March 1 outing, Luka Chuppi, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon, in the neighbouring country, but also his other films like Arjun Patiala and Made In China, proving that India comes first for him.

Industry insiders reveal that several other filmmakers will be calling off their deals with distributors in Pakistan to release their films there.

Shahid Kapoor is currently busy wrapping up work on his next, Kabir Singh. Ask him about the two different looks he dons in the film and he corrects us, “Not two, I have three different looks in Kabir Singh. The need for change is there in the original (Arjun Reddy) because of the way the subject unfolds in the narrative. There's a certain mind space and the present which the character is in and there’s also the past which he has been part of. Along with this, there’s the culmination. So, there are three distinct energies that the film needs. It was about us rediscovering it and making it honest and more original and not forced. We have done that and that’s what I loved the most about the movie.”

NO HEALTH SCARE

Although there was news of a possible health scare for the actor, he says they were ‘baseless rumours’ and he is perfectly fit and fine. When we meet him and ask him about the same, he laughs, “I didn’t know how else to react. I got several messages and calls, including yours. I just felt like laughing at the news. No, I’m not suffering from any life-threatening disease as mentioned. I also feel we should be sensitive about such things because cancer isn’t a joke.”
