SCOOPS: Salman Khan-Disha Patani's action packed Bharat schedule, Krishna Raj Kapoor's prayer meet on Thursday and more

Salman Khan and Disha Patani will start shooting for the second schedule of Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat from October 13. In the first one that was wrapped a month ago, the duo shot for a song, choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant. A source close to the actress shares, “To be shot in Mumbai, the second leg of the shoot will be an extensive month-long spell. The first week will include a lot of rehearsals for the upcoming song between Disha and Salman.” Our informer adds, “This is actually the continuity of the song from the first schedule, which they couldn’t finish because of the rains. The song will have stunts involved in a circus set up and Disha, who plays a trapeze artiste, will be doing some daredevil action sequences that are to be shot at outdoor locations. They will also be filming scenes between the two actors.” 

Krishna Raj Kapoor’s demise due to cardiac arrest came peacefully, like her elder son Randhir Kapoor said. One hears on Sunday night (September 30), Mrs Kapoor was with her gang of girls for a casual chat until 9 pm and then she went home.

At around 3.30 am on the morning of October 1, she reportedly told her personal nurse that she was having difficulty breathing. The family members called for an ambulance and rushed her to a South Mumbai hospital, where she was treated several times earlier on. A source from the hospital said, she had already passed away at the time of admission.

The chautha will be held in Mumbai on Thursday between 5 pm and 7 pm, say sources. Members of the Kapoor and Bachchan families will be joined for the prayers by others from Bollywood and different walks of life.

Before Ajay Devgn and Kajol are seen together on the big screen in his ambitious production venture, Taanaji, they will be seen making an appearance on reality television. The couple, who’s promoting their upcoming release, Helicopter Eela — which he is producing and she is acting in — shot for the ‘Duet Special’ episode of Indian Idol yesterday. 

Given that the Pradeep Sarkar directorial also features her grooving to the recreated version of the song Ruk Ruk Ruk, Kajol also performed a few steps to the peppy track with a few contestants, while her actor-filmmaker husband watched with the audience. Later, the show’s host Maniesh Paul sought Ajay’s permission to do a small dance with her. When given the go-ahead, he and Kajol did a small gig to her Gerua track from Dilwale. We hear it was a fun shoot with the Devgn couple.

After the first theatrical promo for Thugs Of Hindostan was released last week to a mixed response from the audience, there were several reports about how Katrina Kaif will feature only in the dance numbers whereas the action sequences will be primarily picturised on the other three cast members — Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Fatima Sana Shaikh. 

A source from the sets reveals that although Kat will have her solo tracks, there will be one big dance number featuring her along with Aamir and Fatima. The informer elaborates, “It’s the biggest song in the film and is mounted on a gigantic scale. All three of them had to undergo through rigorous training as it’s a different form of a tribal dance which has never been attempted before on this scale, in Hindi cinema. The song will also be a major turning point in the plot.”

The jungle dance was designed because it aligned with the theme of the movie. “Given that the action adventure flick is about thugs and it’s set in a particular period (in the 18th century), the makers felt that a song like this suits the narrative perfectly. Aamir, Katrina and Fatima have just nailed the act.”

Sanjay Dutt, who has been spreading awareness on the adverse effects of drug abuse by giving a motivational talk to the youth in different cities, will be visiting Ahmedabad on October 6. “Sanjay shares the highs and lows of the journey he has had and spreads awareness on anti drugs, which proves to be a motivational boost for the youth,” says a source. The actor, who is currently juggling between shooting for Kalank and wrapping his home production, Prassthanam, has already visited Kolkata, Delhi and Jaipur. A source says that the actor is so committed to this cause that he is making sure to take time out of his packed schedule for it.

Bollywood icon Rishi Kapoor has flown to the US for his medical treatment with wife Neetu and superstar son, Ranbir. On September 29, the veteran actor had tweeted, “Hello all! I am taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment. I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It’s been 45 years “plus” of wear and tear at the movies. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon!” (sic).   

A source says, “The Kapoors are likely to remain there for a bit. And they have reportedly rented an apartment in the Big Apple. While Ranbir will come back to India to continue with his work, Riddhima will join her parents.” 

The source added, “Rishi, Neetu and Ranbir are absolutely devastated with the passing away of Krishna Raj Kapoor. And, they have been continuously in touch with their family members, who are keeping them updated on everything related to her sudden sad demise and the future course of action as far as the family goes.” The Kapoors have requested for privacy at this hour.

Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s talks of collaborating with his Jab We Met hero Shahid Kapoor are on the back burner. According to the grapevine, Kartik Aaryan, who is much in demand these days, is being wooed by the curly-haired, charming Imtiaz.

One hears, the Jab Harry Met Sejal director, who has a couple of exciting projects up his sleeve, has something for the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor. If the deal goes through then Kartik may be asked to choose between the remake of the Kannada hit Kirik Party (2016) and this Imtiaz film, the details of which are guarded because the time frame required for both the movies is almost the same. Of course, Kartik has already given his nod to Kirik Party and he may just manoeuvre his date diary in a way by which he can accommodate both the projects.
