Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan look like a picture-perfect couple in the song Tere Bin from their forthcoming film Simmba. Shot in the picturesque landscape of Switzerland, the track, which launches tomorrow, has been composed by Tanishk Bagchi. Apart from the music director, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Asees Kaur have lent their voices to the number that has been penned by Rashmi-Verag.

Despite doing a business of approximately Rs 73 crores (India box office), the Sriram Raghavan-directed AndhaDhun dominated the film viewers’ list of the IMDB website 10 Indian movies of 2018 (thus far). It was determined by customer ratings on an international database website, and Bollywood ruled the list with six of the 10 titles. Interestingly enough, the man of the moment turned out to be none other than Ayushmann Khurrana. Both his releases — AndhaDhun and Badhaai Ho —  made it to the prestigious list with AndhaDhun being the top choice and Badhaai Ho standing at fifth position.

The other Bollywood films that have grabbed audience attention included Akshay Kumar’s Pad Man, Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju, Alia Bhatt’s Raazi and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree.

3.It's going to be a working Christmas and New Year for Sanjay Dutt

Even as many actors are planning to wrap up film commitments and take a Christmas and New Year break with their families, we hear Sanjay Dutt has no such plans. Reason being that the actor is on a shooting spree this month. 

“Usually, Sanju likes to spend important occasions and festivals with his wife Maanayata and kids, Shahran and Iqra. But this year, he’s working on some very interesting films,” says our source, adding, “He’s committed 60 days to Panipat, the set for which has been built in ND Studios, Karjat. Since he’ll be busy filming for the Ashutosh Gowariker period drama, Sanju will be giving the Christmas and New Year celebrations with his family a miss this time around.”

The Ambani residence, Antilla, was decked up to welcome the baaraatis for Isha Ambani’s wedding to Anand Piramal yesterday. Isha’s brothers, Akash and Anant, were seen heading to escort the baaraat on horseback. Mukesh Ambani was present at the gate to welcome the groom and his family, while Nita Ambani ensured everyone was taken care of. Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao were among the early birds. Isha’s good friend, Kiara Advani, arrived soon after. Last week, the pre-shaadi festivities, which were held in  Udaipur, were a grand affair. No wonder, the wedding celebrations, too, had a regal touch.

Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath tied the knot yesterday in Jalandhar. A source says that the two had a traditional Hindu and Sikh wedding. 

Kapil’s colleagues Sumona Chakravarti and Krushna Abhishek attended the wedding. A source says that Sumona will stay back for the reception, which is to be held in Amrtisar on December 14, while Krushna will return to Mumbai after the wedding.

Powerful people in the capital aren’t pleased with a veteran actor quitting his post at a prestigious institution. After literally ‘asking’ for this opportunity, the actor didn’t really pay much attention to the job assigned. And to add insult to injury, he just took off for an overseas acting assignment, which required him to stay out of the country for three months on end. 

Whispers in the corridors of power are that the authorities are really irritated with the actor’s shabby treatment of the chair given to him.

7.Rangeela Raja’s legal wrangle with CBFC ends

Pahlaj Nihalani is finally ending his battle with the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC), courtesy the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT). The producer-director of Rangeela Raja has agreed to the Tribunal’s verdict and three cuts — one verbal and two visuals — for his upcoming comedy which features Govinda, Mishika Chourasia and Digangana Suryavanshi. 

The filmmaker, who opted for the legal route to fight against the 20 ‘unnecessary’ cuts for a ‘U/A’ rating, says, “Having been the Chairperson of the CBFC, I know the rules and followed them while making the film. But the Board was being unreasonable with my movie and sabotaged it with their delaying tactics. The CBFC seemed hell-bent on proving that Rangeela Raja disrespects women and glorifies violence against them. I respect the FCAT as they viewed my film and gave their ruling without any bias.” 

Nihalani, on Wednesday, informed the Bombay High Court that he was in agreement with the FCAT’s verdict on his film. As a result of this, he was ending his legal wrangle with the CBFC. When asked about his release plans, the filmmaker said, “We’ve just informed the court about our decision of going with the Tribunal’s ruling. Already, I have lost a lot in the promotions when the CBFC delayed the certification. In a day or so, I’ll take a call on my film’s release.”

8.Arunima Sinha, Sandeep Singh on Roadies Real Heroes?

For the upcoming season of their reality adventure show, the makers of Roadies have roped in a real hero. A source says that the show called Roadies Real Heroes will depict true stories of courage, honour and bravery that pays an ode to the virtue of heroism. “This time around, we have a fifth gang leader, a real life hero as the name suggests. The channel is in talks with Arunima Sinha, the first female amputee to climb the Mount Everest; Sandeep Singh, former captain of the Indian hockey team and Deepa Malik, the first Indian woman to win a medal in Paralympic Games. One of them will be locked in soon.” Meanwhile, Prince Narula, Nikhil Chinappa and Raftaar will continue as the gang leaders, while Rannvijay Singha will be the host. Whether the new mom, Neha Dhupia, continues to be one of the gang leaders this season remains to be seen.
