Kangana Ranaut, who stepped in to direct the remaining portions of Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi when director Krish (Radha Krishna Jagarlamundi) had to leave to fulfil his South film commitments, will be helming another movie soon.

Though currently on a few days’ break in her hometown in Himachal Pradesh, she is said to be keeping tabs on the postproduction of her period action drama that is backed by Zee Studios. Even as she’s waiting for the release and response to the biopic on Rani Laxmibai, the promos of which have garnered tremendous praise from all quarters, we hear that the National Award-winning actress will step behind the camera again soon.

At the film’s promotional event recently, she talked about its making with such emotion and passion that one couldn’t help but ask if she was directing again.

Kangana, who has Mental Hai Kya lined up after the historical, said, “The writers are really good and they are supporting me. My next film is being written by KV Vijayendra Prasad, who has scripted the Baahubali movies and also Manikarnika. We have already begun talking about it. However, this time, it’s going to be a love story.” When probed further about the kind of romance she was planning to make, all the actress was willing to say for now was, “It is a love story, but not with a human.” Now, it would be interesting to see what kind of a prem kahaani Kangs is planning to come up with.

TV actor Mohit Raina, best known for his portrayal of Lord Shiva in the serial Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, has got his big break with Uri: The Surgical Strike. We hear the actor, who was particular about choosing the right subject for his foray into the movies didn’t think twice before signing the film that stars Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam.

Says a source associated with the movie, “Being a Kashmiri, Mohit feels strongly for the country and how our armed forces are dealing with the issue of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. He was so emotionally moved after hearing the narration of the film based on the surgical strikes that were a retaliation for the September 2016 attack on an Indian Army camp in Uri in which 19 jawans were killed and over 80 were injured, that he decided to sign it.”

During the course of his training with Indian soldiers, Mohit also interacted with them at length about their lives and how they go about their duty. “He imbibed all that he learnt from them into his performance to add the finer nuances of playing an army man,” sums up our source.

During her recent visit to Los Angeles, Urvashi Rautela threw a party to celebrate the success of her app. She was joined by Amber Rose, Alessandra Ambrosio, Blac Chyna, Dita Von Tesse, Lexy Pantera and Apryl among several others. But the biggest high and the most memorable moment for her for a long time to come was being complimented by Justin Bieber, who happened to be at the same place along with his fiancee, Hailey Baldwin.

A self-confessed fan of one of the most leading music sensations of the world, Urvashi couldn’t help asking Justin and Hailey to join her and her gang for a bit. During the course of their conversation, the Canadian singer-songwriter was apparently overheard telling the Hate Story IV actress, “You are one of the most beautiful women I have ever met.” While they all had a gala time, every time she’s reminded of Justin’s compliment, Urvashi is on cloud nine. Looks like the actress, who was previously spotted enjoying his show in Mumbai, has ticked one off her bucket list.

Katrina Kaif, who is known for her stunning dance moves, has choreographed a few steps in last Friday’s release, Zero. The actress revealed that some of the dance steps in the song Mere Naam Tu picturised on Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma were designed by her.

The three actors recently shot for an episode of Dance Plus 4, where Remo D’Souza, who is judging the show and has also choreographed the song, requested SRK and Anushka to shake a leg to Mere Naam Tu. Since Anushka’s character, Aafia Bhinder, suffers from cerebral palsy and moves around on the wheelchair and has not danced in it, they were trying to figure out what to do when the Husn Parcham sensation came to the rescue and started teaching them to twirl and fall.

Our source from the set says, “Katrina was instructing everything in detail like a complete pro. Moreover, she rehearsed with SRK and Anushka thoroughly before the final shot. At the end of it, Anushka told Kat that she had taught them like a guru and even tried to touch her feet.”
