Scoops: Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh off to Italy, Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas get marriage license

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone left for Italy with their families on Friday night. The happiness and excitement were visible on their faces. On a number of occasions, DeepVeer, as they are fondly called by fans, have been called one of the coolest B-Town couples ever. The media and the paparazzi present at the airport to click their pictures were in for a big surprise. DP and RS not only went around hugging each of them but also clicked pictures and interacted with them when the photographers showered them with best wishes. The duo will tie the knot in an intimate traditional ceremony at the picturesque Lake Como on November 14, followed by an Anand Karaj wedding the next day.

Before their early December wedding, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have obtained a marriage license in the US. The Bollywood actress and the American singer, who got engaged this August and performed the traditional roka ceremony, went to the Beverly Hills Courthouse last week to complete the documentation for the licence. 

It is being said that the couple is contemplating bringing the licence to India for their wedding rituals, which will take place at Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur (Rajasthan) and will later file it in the US to make their marriage official in both the countries.

The Desi Girl has been busy with the preparations for the grand shaadi. After a bridal shower at Tiffany & Co with her mother Madhu Chopra the previous week, she headed to Amsterdam with Sophie Turner for her bachelorette. 

Nick, too, had his bachelor party, before which he gifted push scooters to his 11 groomsmen, including his three brothers Frankie, Joe and Kevin, actor Jonathan Tucker and PC’s brother Siddharth. Sharing a picture of the ‘bikes’, Nick wrote, “I was searching for a fun way for my groomsmen to be mobile and ready to roll — so I called up my friends at @Limebike for some help… #groomsmengift #CitrusGotReal (sic).”

The upcoming episode of India’s Got Talent will see Bidhisha Mohanta, a singer from Kolkata declaring that she is a lesbian and expressing her thoughts in a video diary that was played before her performance. A source from the sets says that the judges were not only impressed by her performance, but they also appreciated and encouraged her for opening up about her sexual orientation. Recalling his childhood, Karan Johar said, “During my childhood, people used to tell me that I walk like a girl, but I did not change myself. I walked right in front of them and into a career that made me what I am today. People say, don’t cry like a girl, walk like a boy... it’s all crap! Be who you are and be proud of yourself, I am proud of myself and my choices.”
