Recently, there have been several speculations about a certain health scare concerning Shahid Kapoor. So much so, that he had been bombarded with several messages from industry colleagues and his fans. He has finally put out a statement saying that he is ‘fine’ and asked everyone to stop believing ‘random stuff’. While this was happening, the Batti Gul Meter Chalu actor was chilling with his family in Delhi. According to our source, “Shahid got a few days' break from the shoot of Kabir Singh and he decided to take off for a short trip. So, along with wife Mira and their two kids, Misha and Zain, he was in the Capital, spending some quality time with the family.” Sasha returned to the bay yesterday.
2. Anushka Sharma’s shaadi connection in Zero!

Exactly a year ago, Anushka Sharma made a huge fashion statement when she opted for a custom-made red Banarasi sari for her wedding reception. The Pari actress’ choice brought the focus back on the six-yard garment. Designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee has been quoted saying that the demand of girls wanting to wear a Banarasi sari for their marriage function went through the roof after Anushka’s shaadi.
Interestingly, it looks like she has a fondness for the red garment as she has worn a similar outfit in her upcoming release Zero, for what clearly looks like a wedding scene. We don’t know yet if it was coincidental or a clever attempt by the movie’s makers to take us back to the actress’ wedding that sent netizens in a tizzy. Of course, Anushka looks absolutely gorgeous in the red sari and picking it for a reel wedding is a nice reminder of her big day.
3. Anushka Sharma not in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next with Salman Khan

Speculations have been rife about the Sultan jodi, Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma, reuniting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next. While the Race 3 actor has apparently spoken about working with his Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam director after two decades, it is being said that he suggested the actress’ name to Bhansali.
However, the Zero actress’ spokesperson maintains, “Anushka Sharma would love to collaborate with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. But as of now, there is no truth to the speculations claiming that she has been signed for his next.”
4. After Shah Rukh Khan, Riteish Deshmukh to play a dwarf in Marjaavan

After Shah Rukh Khan in Zero, which releases on December 21, it’s another actor’s turn to essay the role of a dwarf next year. Riteish Deshmukh is the main antagonist in Milap Zaveri’s Marjaavan and for the first time in Bollywood, the primary villain will be seen in a diminutive avatar. A source says, “With Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish returning as hero and nemesis again after Ek Villain, this had to be an out-of-the-box role. When the latter heard the idea, he liked it immediately.”
While Sid and the movie’s female lead, Tara Sutaria, have started filming in Mumbai, Riteish will join the cast next month. “The makers are currently engaged in pre-production on how his character will shape up. The first look tests are done and they are happy with the results. Riteish will play a three-and-a-half-feet tall gunda in the actioner, which is a revenge saga, with Dussehra and Raavan dahan as its backdrop. With Sid being over six feet tall, Riteish’s character will be almost half his size,” the source adds.
The Marjaavan team employ the same technique as used in SRK’s Zero. “Riteish, Milap and Nikkhil Advani have all loved how Red Chillies have pulled off a stunner with Shah Rukh’s look. They are trying to implement a similar style and VFX in getting Riteish’s look perfect.”

5. Anil Kapoor to pile on pounds for playing Shah Jahan in 'Takht'

Anil Kapoor’s looks always belie his age. He admittedly maintains a very healthy and fit lifestyle and has always surprised the audience by donning different looks for his films. Among the new movies that he has signed, Karan Johar’s directorial venture Takht is easily the most eagerly anticipated of the lot. The period drama is set in the Mughal era and will have Anil playing the role of Shah Jahan. A source associated with the project reveals, “Anil will be putting on a lot of weight to look his part. He is currently extremely lean and fit, but early next year, he will be on a different diet and will gain quite a few kilos before he begins shoot for the period drama.”
6. Rangeela Raja’s fate still hangs on a fine thread?

Over two weeks after it reviewed Rangeela Raja, the FCAT (Film Certification Appellate Tribunal) gave its verdict on the Pahlaj Nihalani film starring Govinda. The movie’s release from November 16 was deferred after it ran into trouble with the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) recommended 20 cuts in scenes and dialogues to issue it a ‘U/A’ rating. Feeling targeted by the Censor Board of which he was the chairperson before Prasoon Joshi was appointed for the post, Nihalani approached the Bombay High Court.
However, the court directed the filmmaker to exhaust all options before taking the legal route. Nihalani then approached the FCAT, which saw the movie on November 23. Of the CBFC’s 17 odd recommendations, the Tribunal set aside nine objections, retained three while the producer-director agreed to four. The Board, too, agreed, to not press on one issue. When contacted, the filmmaker said that he was yet to see the order to decide his next course of action.
