Looks like the trailer of Avengers Endgame and the announcement of April 26 as its date with cinemas worldwide has caused Bollywood filmmakers to rethink their release date. For starters, the makers of De De Pyaar De, starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh, have rescheduled the film yet again, advancing it from April 26 to March 15.

Initially, the romcom was slated to open in theatres on February 22. But that date was allotted to Total Dhamaal. The Indra Kumar directorial and third outing of the Dhamaal franchise, which stars Ajay, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi and Jaaved Jaaferi, was moved from December 7 to February 22 due to extensive VFX work. Consequently, De De Pyaar De, which was planned to release on February 22, had been pushed ahead to April 26. But now, the upcoming Avengers instalment is seen as very stiff competition for Hindi movies. Not surprising since Avengers: Infinity War, which released this April, broke the India box-office record for Hollywood ventures.

Now, De De Pyaar De will clash with John Abraham’s spy thriller, Romeo Akbar Walter, which also releases on March 15.
