Scoops: Alia Bhatt performs stunts despite injury, Kartik Aaryan makes the most of his B’day

1.Alia Bhatt performs an action scene for 'Brahmastra' despite injury
Earlier this year, Alia Bhatt injured herself while shooting for Brahmastra in Bulgaria. And now, she has done it again! The actress hurt her ankle and has been walking with crutches, to reach the sets. But the injury hasn’t dampened her spirit. In spite of being in pain, the actress is juggling two films — Kalank and Brahmastra. We hear that recently she even shot for an entire action sequence for the Ayan Mukerji directorial. According to our source, “Alia told the team she wouldn’t want the shoot to be interrupted. She popped some pills and was back on the set, hanging from cables and performing stunts all by herself.” The scene, which also features beau Ranbir Kapoor, required her to walk on a rooftop and later hang from it. She finished it comfortably before heading back home.
2.Kartik Aaryan makes the most of his B’day
Most stars have at least that one pinch-me moment when their fans do something crazy for them. Kartik Aaryan, who turned a year older on Thursday, had one such moment as a birthday gift. A fan of the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor sent him 28 bouquets, which nearly filled his house with flowers. He thanked his followers online for their love saying, “One of my most special Birthday !! After a very long time, celebrated it with my family and Thank you so much for making it even more special with all Wishes, Flowers Gifts and Cakes. - #Family #Fans #WellWishers (sic)” and even posted a picture of the bouquets sent to him.
However, the actor, who has finished shooting Dinesh Vijan’s Luka Chuppi with Kriti Sanon, spent most of his special day with his parents. During the day, they went to Siddhivinayak Temple to pray to the Elephant God for everything he’s got and later in the night, cut a cake together. Kartik, who is prepping for his next — the remake of the Kannada hit Kirik Party — has also reportedly bagged Imtiaz Ali’s sequel to his 2009 hit, Love Aaj Kal.
3.When Maniesh Paul stepped into Amitabh Bachchan’s shoes
Maniesh Paul, who’s loved by the celeb guests on Indian Idol, which he hosts, added another famous name to his list. Veteran actress Zeenat Aman, who recently shot an episode, was all praises for the friendly host. What’s more, she even stated that had Maniesh been a hero when she played leading roles, they would have definitely been paired on screen together. Naturally, he was overwhelmed with the love.
Later, Maniesh and Zeenat also danced to Khaike Paan Banaraswala from Don (1977), where he stepped into Amitabh Bachchan’s shoes with the original Roma (her character in the film) by his side. He also called her ‘Zeeni baby’ and she responded saying, ‘Yes, Don’. While his hosting abilities, ready wit and zany humour have made him popular with the audience, Zeenat’s praise for him surely made his day.
