SCOOPS: Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to begin Gulab Jamun in January, Katrina Kaif's dance number in SRK's Zero

Eight years after they shared screen space for Mani Ratnam’s Raavan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be seen together in Anurag 
Kashyap’s next production, Gulab Jamun, helmed by newcomer Sarvesh Mewara. While initial reports stated that they will start shooting in the middle of next year, we hear that the movie has now been preponed.

According to our source, “Anurag is planning to start shooting in January. Both Abhi and Ash have liked the subject and are looking forward to working together again. Moreover, during the making of Manmarziyaan, Abhishek and Anurag became good friends. They have spoken about wanting to collaborate again. So 
until the filmmaker comes up with the right script to direct AB Jr, they will work on the former’s new production.” 

Looks like Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30, his ‘biopic’ on math wizard Anand Kumar will actually not clash with Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi.

Both movies were scheduled to release on the Republic Day weekend in 2019.  But while Manikarnika is forging ahead and has gone into the post-production stages, Super 30 is apparently “orphaned” at this juncture. After director Vikas Bahl was asked to step down because of the sexual harassment accusations in the wake of the #MeToo Movement, the Hrithik-Mrunal Thakur film is waiting for a new talent to step in and carry it along to the finishing line.

While Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas haven’t yet announced their wedding date, the desi girl’s friends Mubina Rattonsey and Anjula Acharia reportedly hosted a bridal shower for her yesterday. The bride-to-be wore a white Marchesa feathered dress paired with nude Christian Louboutin pumps. She accessorised it with a diamond string necklace. Her picture against the backdrop of a ‘bride’ balloon banner posted on social media has gone viral. Bollywood songs were reportedly played at the party which had the guests grooving to it.

Tusshar, who was spotted at the airport last night, was headed to Hyderabad. We hear that after completing a shoot today, he will be going to the Tirupati Balaji temple to pay his obeisance to the residing deity. The Golmaal Again actor is a staunch devotee of Lord Venkateswara and he makes it a point to pay his respects at the famed temple as and when he can. And since he was in the Andhra Pradesh capital for a shoot, Tusshar, who goes to the temple at least a couple of times a year, made plans in advance to include this religious-spiritual visit in this itinerary as well.

Ayushmann Khurrana, who is riding high on the success of AndhaDhun and Badhaai Ho, has shared some hitherto unknown details from his personal life on Neha Dhupia’s podcast. He revealed that since childhood he has been like an “aunty magnet”. He was in an all boys school, so he had minimal interaction with girls.

“Aunties loved me, for all the good reasons. I don’t know. I found older women hot,” he said. He also revealed that the secret behind sporting a beard is his hatred towards shaving. “I only hate shaving my beard, by the way. I just feel naked when I shave…I don’t feel confident in front of the camera. Of course, there’s also a reason, I have bushy eyebrows poori nazar eyebrows pe jaati hai phir,” he laughed. 

After receiving appreciation for his last web series, Home, Amol Parashar has been roped in for Ekta Kapoor’s next production venture Dolly Kitty Aur Voh Chamakte Sitare which will be directed by Alankrita Shrivastava. Amol will be paired opposite Konkona Sensharma in the film. A source says, “Amol has had a great run with all his digital shows, so the makers felt that the pairing of Amol and Konkona will be fresh and interesting. He has already started shooting for the movie in Delhi.” 

In the rebellious drama, Amol plays a young, ambitious boy chasing his own dreams in a place like Noida (where the film is set). He tells us, “I met Alankrita, who offered me a part in her film. I read the script and loved it and came on board immediately. Also, majority of my work is opposite Konkona and I could not have passed this opportunity to work with an actor of her calibre.”

Actor-host Karan Wahi, who was last seen in the web series Bar Code, is all set to launch his own clothing line. The actor, we hear, has been working on the intricacies and fine detailing of his line which will be launched in a month’s time on a shopping app. Says a source, “His fashion line will mostly cater to the youth, and consist of casuals and semi formals with a young vibe from Karan’s personal style. He has a great fan following on the social media and has always been praised for his cool, hip looks, which he will translate in his clothing line.”

Known to be a creative maverick, Aamir Khan has often shown his brilliance through the varied marketing and promotional strategies that he applies to his film releases. However, not many people know that he is quite good at chess, too. Recently, the actor surprised everyone at the MAMI after-party, when he beat a guy with high IQ at the game. Aamir played chess all night long and, of course, he stole a march over his opponent before being declared the winner while a whole group of people cheered on. 

On the work front, the Bollywood superstar is currently gearing up for his upcoming film Thugs Of Hindostan, which is currently looking like it could have a Rs 40 crore-plus opening at the ticket windows.

With her svelte figure and exceptional dance moves, Katrina Kaif has floored viewers in several hit songs. Many filmmakers believe that if you have this leggy lass in an item number, their movie will get a repeat audience. 

Though her Sheila Ki Jawani didn’t save the day for Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan (2010), the track became a chartbuster. Her Chikni Chameli was one of the major highlights of Karan Malhotra’s Agneepath (2012). So, whether or not there is an organic opportunity, filmmakers often find a song situation for sexy Kat. Her Kamli from Vijay Krishna Acharya’s Dhoom 3 (2013) created a stir. 

Suraiyya, the new number from the forthcoming Thugs Of Hindostan, is piquing the curiosity of cinegoers. 

Now, filmmaker Aanand L Rai has reportedly decided to shoot a groovy track with Katrina for his highly-anticipated film Zero, which stars Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. 

Our source says, “Kat plays an actress in the movie. In fact, at one point, the makers had even contemplated calling it Katrina Meri Jaan before zeroing in on Zero. It is rumoured that Aanand, who is releasing the trailer on November 2 (Shah Rukh’s birthday), has plans to shoot a zany track with Katrina.” 

It seems Kat will set the screen ablaze once again with her sensuous moves."
