It seems Salman Khan is still sore about Priyanka Chopra quitting 'Bharat'
That Priyanka Chopra was the first choice to play Salman Khan's leading lady in Ali Abbas Zafar's 'Bharat', is no news. The role eventually went to Katrina Kaif and Salman says he will forever be thankful to PC for vacating the role because had she not departed, he wouldn't have got the opportunity to work with his former lover Katrina, again.
But, Salman is clearly not over Priyanka's impromptu departure from his film for her wedding with singer Nick Jonas. Salman, who has been taking sly digs at Priyanka in interviews and at events lately, once again opened up about her ouster from the film.
In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Salman again once thanked Priyanka and said that it amazes him how she chose to dump 'the biggest film of her career' to get married.

In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Salman once again brought up the topic of Priyanka as Katrina talked about her character in the film. He said, “Over Bharat, she chose USA in the ‘nick’ of time. She has worked all her life so hard and when she got the biggest film of her life, she dumped the film and got married. Hats off! Usually people leave their husbands for a film like this.”
2. Salman feels Priyanka should atleast help them promote 'Bharat'

Salman further said that though she couldn’t be in the film, she could still help with the promotions as she had loved the script of 'Bharat'.
3. Salman: Priyanka was offered a meaty role in 'Bharat', instead "she chose to play the role of a wife"

At a recent event, Salman said "Thank you, Priyanka" right after Katrina was asked about how she got on board for 'Bharat'. In a recent interview with Mumbai Mirror, Salman clarified his real intention behind his comment.
"Thank you, Priyanka! I will always be thankful to her. Bharat was about to go on the floors and just five days before the shooting, Priyanka meets me and says that she wouldn't be able to work in the film. Now, if Priyanka hadn't left Bharat, how could we have brought Katrina on board?," he told Mumbai Mirror.
The 53-year-old actor said that Priyanka was offered a meaty role in Bharat, instead "she chose to play the role of a wife, which is even beautiful". "But Katrina is not playing the role of a wife and hence she is playing the character in Bharat."
"She came to meet me one day and said she is going to get married and hence won't be able to work in the film. I had told Priyanka that we will adjust the dates for her. She said that she isn't sure how much time she needs for the preparation of her wedding. "
"While many would give anything for the film or maybe even leaving their husband, Priyanka left the film," added Salman.
4. "Even after the release of the trailer, Priyanka didn’t call me"

Salman told Mumbai Mirror that he hasn’t heard from Priyanka since her departure, even though he attended Priyanka and Nick’s Mumbai wedding reception. “No, even after the release of the trailer, Priyanka didn’t call me,” Salman said. “Now, if she had some genuine problem then it’s alright. I believe, whatever happens, happens for the good.”
5. So, will Salman work with Priyanka again?

"I would definitely work with her in the future. If she gets me a meaty role, why wouldn't I work with her? I just need to love the story."
