Salman Khan has once again introduced two fresh faces in Bollywood in the upcoming film of his production house. Notebook marks the debut of Pranutan Bahl and Zaheer Iqbal in films. The trailer of Notebook was unveiled on Friday and Salman himself was present at the trailer launch event of the film. 

Set against the backdrop of the picturesque locales of Kashmir, Notebook chronicles the heartwarming story of how the two debutants fall in love without even meeting each other for once. The trailer has already received a thumbs up from the Twitterverse and Pranutan and Zaheer look pretty promising too.

While interacting with the media, Salman Khan was quizzed about launching newcomers in the industry, to which he said, "I launch deserving candidates, not anybody."

Those who're caught unaware, Pranutan is not only veteran actress Nutan's granddaughter, but also the daughter of Mohnish Bahl, who has shared the screen space with Salman in a number of films. Sharing how Pranutan came on board, Salman told the media, "Pranutan did a screen test and she is on. She is amazing in the film. She is so good with her lines."

Salman also revealed how the debutant actor Zaheer Iqbal initially wasn't able to get the dance step right, but worked hard towards it. He shared, "Zaheer was unable to get the right dance step. He rehearsed for five hours and next day he got it right. He is hard working."

Pranutan took shared the story of how she was chosen to be a part of Notebook. She revealed, "I gave a five hour long audition for this film. But they called some other girls also as they were like if they take me then it will be like 'I am from film family'. So they auditioned some 80 to 100 girls but Nitin sir (director Nitin Kakkar) felt I was the right choice."

She also shared, "I did gave lot of auditions for two and half years or so for lot of films. I never used to say I am from a film family. For this film they knew that I was Mohnish's daughter."

Actor Zaheer Iqbal, who was first spottted by Salman Khan at the debutant's sister's wedding and had offered to launch him in films soon after seeing his performance on stage, shared that he wanted to act before he fies. ""I wanted to act in a film before I die. I am into construction business and I just wanted to make money fast and produce and act in my own film. Luckily this film ('Notebook') fell in my lap. This is the perfect debut for any actor because of the producer Salman sir and national award winning director Nitin Kakkar," he told the media persons present at the event. 

Notebook is slated to hit the theatres on March 29.
