Well, to answer that there's no better example than Bollywood celebrities who have taken left their education midway and have taken that leap of faith and made amazing careers purely based on talent.

Here are nine Bollywood celebs who dropped out of college/school:

As a child Katrina Kaif moved a lot from one country to another very frequently because her mother had dedicated her life to social causes. As a result, it was hard for her to keep up with school and was mostly home-schooled. To add to that she started getting modelling offers. So she left school and decided to pursue her career as a model at the age of fourteen.

Everyone remembers the AIB roast of Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. It was revealed in the show that he was a dropout from school because he wasn't very good at studies. Later, he lost weight so that he could join the industry!

Kareena Kapoor Khan completed her schooling at Dehradun's Welham Girls School and Jamnabai Narsee School Mumbai. Subsequently, she studied commerce for two years in Mumbai's Mithibai College but didn't complete her graduation. Instead, she enrolled herself in a Government Law College but did not pursue that either. She left law after a year to join Bollywood.

Alia Bhatt joined the film industry at a very young age. Her first film was Karan Johar's 'Student Of The Year'. Alia completed her schooling (10+2), after which she decided that she wanted to pursue acting.

Deepika Padukone did enrol herself in Mount Carmel College in Bengaluru but soon had to discontinue to focus on her modelling career. Later, she also enrolled herself at the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) to complete her graduation in sociology; however, she couldn't complete that either and left it to make it big in Bollywood.

Shakti Kapoor's daughter, Shraddha Kapoor was already studying psychology at Boston University when she was offered a role in the film 'Teen Patti'. She left her course and went ahead to pursue her dreams in Bollywood.

Perfectionist Aamir Khan is not so perfect after all. For someone who played the role of an intelligent student on screen, was having a difficult time in a real school. Aamir got a chance to act in the silent film 'Paranoia' when he was sixteen. That role gave him hope and he ditched his studies to follow his passion for acting after completing class twelve.

It may come as a shock but fashion icon Sonam Kapoor, who is known for her intellect and smart sense of humour, who also comes under some of the most well-read celebrities in Bollywood did not complete her graduation. The actor left her undergraduate degree in literature to join Bollywood.

The 'Desi Girl' completed her schooling at Bareilly's Army Public School and then enrolled at Mumbai's Jai Hind College. However, after winning the Miss World title in 2000, she quit her studies and focused all her energy on her acting career.
