Today, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan attended the trailer launch event of 'Maleficent: Mistress of Evil' in Mumbai. The actor lent her voice for Angelina Joli's character in the film.
A few days back, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan announced that she will be lending her voice for Angelina Jolie's character in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil's Hindi version. This is the first time the actor has dubbed for another actor and that too for a Hollywood film. The film is based on Disney Princess and the trailer which was revealed earlier showed Aishwarya making for a perfect Maleficent. In the trailer, she was seen in an all-black look.
Today, at the trailer launch of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Aishwarya spoke at length about dubbing for a character, her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan's reaction to it and also revealed if she ever met Angelina Jolie. Aishwarya looked gorgeous as ever in an all-black look and made heads turn at the event.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who dubbed for the Hindi version of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil was snapped at the launch event of the Hollywood film. In the film, the stunning beauty has given the voiceover for Angelina Jolie's character who plays the titular role.

At the event, Aishwarya stunned in an all-black look. She wore a black printed lace top and black trousers with a leather black jacket. She left her hair centre-parted loose open and completed her look by donning black peep-toes.
3. Aaradhya Bachchan's reaction to Aishwarya dubbing for Maleficent

When Aishwarya was asked about daughter Aaradhya Bachchan's reaction to the film. She stated, "Aaradhya happily asked, 'Oh! You playing Maleficent!' and I said, 'No, I am dubbing for it.' She enjoyed the first one, I am sure she will love the second one too."

Aishwarya went on to say that this is her first experience ever. The actor said, "This is the first time when am not playing the character but dubbing for some other artist." She further said, "I actually got into it completely, that's another reason I did it."
5. On meeting the real 'Maleficent' Angelina Jolie

When asked if she ever met Angelina Jolie, Aishwarya replied, "I missed meeting her in South Africa when she attended IIFA Awards and presented the award to me with Shah Rukh Khan for Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam." Ash further revealed that they met at the Cannes Film Festival but didn't have a long conversation.
