1.Zaira Wasim was Secret Superstar
Secret Superstar revolved around a teenage singer living amid domestic abuse, who becomes a YouTube sensation while disguising her identity with a niqab. The lead role of Insia Malik was played by Zaira Wasim, while Meher Vij played her supporting mother and Raj Arjun played his evil father.
2.Aamir Khan's magic in Secret Superstar
Aamir Khan produced Secret Superstar and also played the pivotal role of the music director Shakti Kumar, who becomes Insia's mentor. It was Khan and Wasim's second collaboration after the 2016 blockbuster Dangal, which is the highest-grossing Indian film till date with global collections of over Rs 2000 crore.
3.Secret Superstar budget and box office
Made in Rs 15 crore, Secret Superstar earned Rs 80 crore gross in Indian upon its limited release on Diwali 2017. However, when the film was released widely in China in 2018, the movie became a blockbuster and earned Rs 750 crore there. Overall, the film's worldwide gross collections ended at Rs 910 crore.
4.Secret Superstar is highest-grossing Indian film with female lead
The Zaira Wasim-led emotional drama is the highest-grossing Indian film with a female protagonist. If we take into account only the domestic box office, Adah Sharma's The Kerala Story is the highest-grossing female-led film in India with the collections of Rs 242 crore net at the Indian box office.

5.Secret Superstar is India's most profitable film
Secret Superstar grossed over Rs 900 crore against its minimal budget of Rs 15 crore. With 6000% return on investment, the Zaira Wasim, Aamir Khan-starrer became India's most profitable film. It marked directorial debut of Advait Chandan, who later helmed two flops - Laal Singh Chaddha and Loveyapa.
