Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is widely known for his philanthropy work and his good sense to help those who are in need.

Now, amid the coronavirus lockdown in the country and many daily wage workers missing out the chance to earn their living, Salman has pledged to financially support 25,000 daily wage workers from the film industry, according to Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE).

#StopNegativityAgainstSRK has been trending on Twitter since some time. The actor came under the radar after an old video has been going viral yet again. The video, which surfaced in 2017 first, questions if Shah Rukh Khan donated Rs 45 crore to Pakistan.

In the crucial times of coronavirus, when Shah Rukh Khan has remained mum and Akshay Kumar claimed that he has donated Rs. 25 crore to PM Cares Fund, netizens got curious what was going on with Khan and lashed at him. However, Shah Rukh's fans came to the rescue and cleared that the superstar often does not flaunt even when he donates money, soon starting the trend.

Bollywood celebrities have been doing their bit in order to help the citizens of the country during the coronavirus lockdown, helping the government fight it by pledging financial assistance. Yesterday Akshay Kumar donated Rs 25 crore to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) fund after which author Shefali Vaidya questioned how much the Khans, mainly Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aamir Khan, had donated. Producer Nikhil Dwivedi jumped to their defence.

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar was snapped wearing a mask as he drove his wife to the hospital. Twinkle Khanna shared a video of the empty roads and of her husband driving her to the hospital for her foot dressing appointment.

Wearing a blue shirt with a black bunny cap and a mask on his face, Akshay solely focused on driving his wife Twinkle to the hospital. Sharing the video, Twinkle wrote, "Deserted roads all the way back from the hospital. Please don’t be alarmed, I am not about to kick the bucket because I really can’t kick anything at all! #sundayshenanigans"
