Kareena, who has never shied away from flaunting her baby bump, talking about her pregnancies, and has embraced motherhood like a pro, being a hands-on mother with son Taimur Ali Khan, has previously opened up about motherhood and her journey as a first time mom on several occasions.

Here we take a look at some of Kareena's interesting statements on motherhood and how her life changed after Taimur came into her life.

In a recent Instagram video that Kareena uploaded on her verified handle, the actress spoke about the joys of motherhood. She said, "The feeling of becoming a mother is not explainable and can only be felt firsthand. Seeing your children grow up right in front of your eyes, and becoming a part of their milestones, it's the best feeling in the world."

In a 2019 interview, Kareena had said that parenting is a personal experience, where one cannot always strictly follow the rule book. She said, "When it comes to being a mother, my experiences are very personal and it's my own. Because there is no crown for following it (parenting methods). Of course, there are thousands of books (on parenting) which you can read. I read all of them but I got really bored. So, I said I am just going to figure it out, each day. And each day is a learning…."

In a 2019 interview with former film critic Rajeev Masand, Kareena had opened up about motherhood and revealed how it had impacted her approach towards life. She said, "I don't look at life through my eyes. I only look at life through my son's eyes…Earlier, when he was like seven or eight months, I would be like, 'No no, I am going to be really chilled out and very relaxed,' but it is like I can't. I am obsessed. I just can't…I can't help it. But I am sure all mothers are."

In an earlier interview with Vogue India, Kareena had said, "One should do what they're able to. I have never really pushed myself, I have done whatever I wanted to do, but not to the point where I am exhausted. Each trimester is different. You have a burst of energy in the second trimester...I tell pregnant working mothers that they should listen to their body. Of course, we should work, but some days if you feel you can’t get out of bed or you can’t do it, I feel one shouldn’t push themselves."

"What kind of a mother I am is something that will unfold with time. I will not scream from rooftops about experiencing motherhood or how much I love Taimur. There's always the pressure of being judged, no matter what you do. It's about how you deal with it," Kareena told BollywoodLife.com
