Dostana 2 debutant Lakshya was formerly known as Laksh Lalwani and he has been a popular name in the television industry.
Today, Karan Johar finally announced the third lead in his forthcoming production, Dostana 2. Yes, it's none other than television-turned-movie actor Lakshya who will be making his Bollywood debut. Talking about him, Karan wrote on Twitter, "Both happy and excited to introduce the new kid on the Dharma block! LAKSHYA will be making his debut with us in #DOSTANA2 and from thereon, we hope to start a solid cinematic journey together! Please welcome #Lakshya and shower him with all your love and blessings..."
While Lakshya posted on Instagram, "Overwhelmed, grateful & down right EXCITED for this wonderful new beginning! Thank you for this welcome into the #Dharma family, can't wait to get started on #Dostana2! @Dharmamovies".

Lakshya has also signed a four-film contract with Dharma and was selected after a rigorous selection process.

Lakshya, formerly known as Laksh Lalwani is a television-turned-film actor. He was a contestant in Roadies X2 and then went on to star in the shows namely Warrior High, Adhuri Kahaani Hamari, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil and Porus.

Lakshya played the titular role in Porus which is considered as the most expensive TV show in the history of India. The show was aired for a year from 2017 to 2018.

It was earlier reported that Lakshya is dating his Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil co-star Additi Gupta. However, both of them constantly denied the reports.
There were even rumours that Lakshya is in a relationship with Rashmi Desai. But during an interaction with a portal, she said, "He is being unnecessarily dragged in all this. He is one of the good friends I have who stood by me in my most difficult times. So can’t I even post a picture with him? What if I post a picture with family or cousin, will that also be questionable?."
