Jim Sarbh in Padmaavat to Katrina Kaif in Zero: Here are 6 supporting actors who stole the show in 2018

While Jim Sarbh was brilliant throughout the film as Kafur, the scene where he cuts off Raza Murad’s head just because Ranveer Singh ordered him to, make us stop and take notice.

Portraying a character whose intention wasn’t to be funny in a scary situation, Pankaj Tripathi managed to play his role as a scholar brilliantly in Stree. The scene where he instructed Aparshakti Khurrana (Bittu) and Abhishek Banerjee (Jaana), almost repeatedly played in our minds and got pinned when Jaana actually disappeared.

With his Gujarati accent and even roothna-manana, Vicky was the soul of the film when Ranbir was the body of it. His inventing the term ‘gapagap’ made us laugh out loud, as much as his innocence on screen made us want to give him a tight hug!

From loving Neena Gupta, even through the act of seeing her sit among ladies from the terrace, or hesitating to tell his grown-up kids that he made their mom pregnant or being upset with them over non-acceptance, Gajraj Rao’s performance deserved applauds.

From being a suspicious murderer to actually doing the act without any regrets and still being a human at heart, Tabu was beyond spectacular in AndhaDhun, a movie which should have only belonged to Ayushmann Khurrana otherwise.

Zero might be Shah Rukh Khan’s film, but if somebody has almost come close to his acting, then that was Katrina Kaif, who looked like in her totally natural avatar in the Christmas release.
