Former beauty queen and actress Tanushree Dutta,34, best known for her debut film Aashiq Banaya Aapne, recently made a rare public appearance and she looks nothing like the glamorous seductress we all once knew.

She returned to Mumbai after two long years and was spotted at the airport on Sunday evening. She was all smiles as she walked out of the airport and happily posed for the shutterbugs. Tanushree was wearing a blue shirt, black caprees and floaters and looked different from when we last saw her. 

Before leaving for India, she had shared on Snapchat, “Flight to Mumbai!! Coming back to India after 2 years..nervous and excited!! Will miss USA…be back soooon!!!”

Born into a Bengali Hindu family in Jharkand, Tanushree Dutta won the prestigious Femina Miss India title in the year 2003. Tanushree beat 'Wonder Woman' Gal Gadot (who represented Israel) at Miss Universe 2004 to become the eighth runner-up. Gadot could not even make it to the Top 15.

Tanushree dropped out of college after completing her first year of B.Com to pursue her passion for modelling. She made her Bollywood debut in 2005 with Aashiq Banaya Aapne opposite Emraan Hashmi and Sonu Sood. The film was a hit at the box office. She later appeared in films such as Chocolate, Raqeeb, Dhol, Risk and Good Boy, Bad Boy. 2010's Apartment was her last Hindi film.

The actress hit headlines in 2012 after her bald pictures went viral. “I panicked when I saw myself in the mirror. There I was, a glamour icon till a few minutes back, and then I was standing there, bereft of my crowning glory. Then it hit me, I am just a creature," Tanushree had told Times of India in a 2012 inteview while talking about her spartan retreats in Ladakh.

“Please don’t jump to conclusions that I have taken up a vow of celibacy or remain single. I'll marry once I find the right person," she had then asserted. Tanushree now lives in the US and is still unmarried.
