Happy birthday Saif Ali Khan: From 'Dil Bechara' cameo to Kareena's pregnancy, how actor remained in news through 2020

Saif Ali Khan was called out for nepotism, featured in Sushant Singh Rajput's Dil Bechara, and more recently, is expecting a baby with wife Kareena Kapoor Khan

Saif Ali Khan turns 50 today! The actor has seen quite an eventful year, both on professional and personal level, despite the COVID-19 lockdown. He more recently made headlines for his cameo in 'Dil Bechara', comment on nepotism, and expecting a baby with wife Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Apart from Dil Bechara, Saif made headlines for 'Jawaani Jaaneman', which launched Alaya F, and a rumoured 'fight' between him and Ajay Devgn during 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior'. His movies 'Go Goa Gone 2' and 'Bunty Aur Babli 2' also made headlines.

On the personal front too, Saif was often in news for his activities with baby boy Taimur Ali Khan. In fact, when Taimur interrupted an interview with Saif and came dressed as 'Hulk', it became headlines. More recently, the Nawab family announced Saif-Kareena are expecting a baby soon, which means Taimur is going to be a big brother soon.

Saif Ali Khan featured in a cameo appearance in Sushant Singh Rajput's last ever film 'Dil Bechara'. The actor had called Sushant Singh Rajput a 'bright person' and his comment, "I have been a victim of nepotism" created a roar on the internet right before the film's release. Post the movie's release, Saif's cameo was widely lauded.

Celebrity power couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan released a joint statement, in which they surprised people by declaring that Bebo is pregnant again. The statement read, "We are very pleased to announce  that we are expecting an addition to our family !! Thank you to all our well-wishers for all their love and support." The couple is already blessed with a three-year-old son Taimur Ali Khan.

Saif Ali Khan was in an interview, talking about his time during home quarantine, which is when his youngest son Taimur Ali Khan appeared in the middle of the interview. Tim was seen wearing a Hulk mask and gloves, and asked the interviewer 'Where are you?' after being confused for the longest time.

Team 'Bunty Aur Babli 2', including Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari, wrapped the Abu Dhabi schedule of their film in the beginning of March 2020. They were shooting for the climax of the film there.

Various reports claimed that Ajay Devgn was upset with Saif Ali Khan's comments on 'Tanhaji' 'not being history'.

Ajay even mocked the question at the trailer launch of Sooryavanshi and sarcastically replied, "Bohot naaraaz tha. Uske ghar gaya, usko maine bohot maara. Taangein tod di uski, aaj kal chal bhi nahi paa raha hai (I was very upset. I went to his house and beat him up. I broke his legs and he is not even able to walk nowadays)."

Ajay then seriously replied, "Yeh sab jo khabarein aapko milti hai, pata nahi kahaan se milti hai! Iske baare mein main kya kahoon? Aisa kuch nahi hai (I don’t know where you get such news from! How do I even react to such reports? There is nothing like that)."

Producer Dinesh Vijan had confirmed that the sequel of 'Go Go Gone' (original featured Kunal Kemmu, Saif Ali Khan, Vir Das and Anand Tiwari in lead roles) is not about zombies but aliens.

Pooja Bedi's daughter Alaya F (Furniturewala) was introduced to Bollywood in the beginning of 2020. The movie, called 'Jawaani Jaaneman', featured Saif Ali Khan in the lead role with Tabu in a pivotal role.
