From Kanika Kapoor to Amitabh Bachchan, Bollywood celebs who tested positive for COVID-19

Various Bollywood celebrities have been affected by the deadly coronavirus, the latest being Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan, also an actor who was recently seen in 'Breathe: Into The Shadows', have tested positive for coronavirus. They are currently receiving treatment in Nanavati hospital.

Various other Bollywood celebs, right from Kanika Kapoor to Wajid Khan, had been tested positive for the deadly virus. Luckily, all the celebrities have recovered from COVID-19, and completed their quarantine period.

Amitabh Bachchan had been detected coronavirus positive. The actor confirmed the news tweeting, "I have tested CoviD positive ..  shifted to Hospital  .. hospital informing  authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested !"

Soon after, Abhishek Bachchan also confirmed he was tested positive for coronavirus. He tweeted, "Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you. The BMC has been in touch and we are complying with them." 

Anupam Kher confirmed the news that while he has tested negative for COVID-19, his mother, brother Raju Kher, Raju's wife and daughter (Anupam's niece) have tested mildly positive for coronavirus. Like Anupam Kher, Raju is also an actor, who is most remembered for his role in 'Om Jai Jagdish'.

Anupam Kher took to Twitter and confirmed the same with a video. "This is to inform all that my mother Dulari is found Covid + (Mildly). We have admitted her into Kokilaben Hospital. My brother, bhabhi & niece inspite of being careful have also tested mildly positive.I got myself tested as well & I have tested negative. @mybmc is informed.!," he wrote alongside the video.

Late music composer Wajid Khan, who died on June 1, 2020, after a cardiac arrest, was reportedly receiving treatment for COVID-19 after he was tested positive for it.

Veteran actor Kiran Kumar was also tested positive for COVID-19. "I’m asymptomatic positive. I had got myself tested on May 14 and it turned out I had coronavirus. But there’s no fever, no cough or any kind of breathlessness. I’m fine, and have quarantined myself at home. It has been 10 days and I haven’t developed any symptoms," he had said on May 24, 2020.

Zoa Morani, who worked in 'Always Kabhi Kabhi' and 'Bhaag Johnny', had tested positive for the virus. She was even seen talking to actor Varun Dhawan in a live chat about how she felt under isolation. Varun had also stated that he had a close relative, who was living in US, that had tested positive. The aunt Varun was talking about, is no more.

Renowned producer Karim Morani had tested positive for COVID-19 too, making the Morani family first to test positive in COVID-19, in Bollywood.

'Baby Doll' singer Kanika Kapoor was the first Bollywood celebrity to test positive. She had arrived to UP from London. Her father had accused the singer of not getting tested and thus, the whole family had to go under quarantine. Kanika was under scanner for a long time because of that, too.
