When it comes to portraying a typical Bengali father, 'Piku' did it the best. The role of Bhaskor Banarjee played by veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan made viewers burst out laughing. Bhaskor, who was Piku’s (Deepika Padukone) father appeared as a hypochondriac that refused to get his daughter married. His famous dialogue was "Shaadi without purpose is low IQ”. Doing justice to the role, Amitabh Bachchan adopted a Bengali accent and played his part effortlessly.
