Remember Aamna Imran, the US-based, Pakistani beauty blogger who took the internet by storm for her striking similarity with former beauty queen and actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan?
Well, since Aamna caught the attention of the netizens for being the 'perfect' lookalike of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and had social media users from the world over comparing her with the Bollywood star, we at DNA went ahead and spoke to Aamna about her overnight fame, comparisons with one of the most beautiful women in the world, her favourite Bollywood star and her thoughts on pursuing acting and more.

"My background is diverse. I was born and currently reside in the United States and in addition to this, have completed my education from here. My father is from Pakistan, whereas his parent's roots were Indian. My paternal grandparents were from Jalandhar, India. My mother and her parents are from Afghanistan,"said Aamna in an interview to DNA. She added, "I am a traveling medical professional in America caring for numerous nephrology patients in dialysis clinics. Alongside dialysis, I possess medical intensive care unit experience (ICU)."
"A random woman from across the globe named Saman messaged me mentioning I was being featured in articles that talked about my striking resemblance to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s. While reading the articles, I felt shocked and surprised!"Aamna said.
On being asked how does it feel to be known as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's doppelganger, Aamna said, "I am content, thankful, excited and it feels wonderful! It always was my dream to be in showbiz. On being further questioned if she had any complaints about the comparisons, Aamna told DNA, "Definitely, positively, concretely NO! I am thrilled! Who would complain about becoming viral for her looks in a good way?"
"I am elated!" said a happy Aamna. She added, "Ï am loving every bit of it. Countless media outlets are covering me and I feel blessed!" On being asked what has her family, parents, and friends' reaction to the news features been like? Aamna replied, "Everyone is very supportive. Those who know me are happy."
I watched several of Aishwarya Rai's films. I can easily say that 'Devdas' is my all-time favorite due to its elegance!" Aamna told in an exclusive chat with DNA. On being asked who her favorite B-town star was, she said "All Bollywood actors possess their unique styles. My favorite actors are Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri (Dixit).
"There are Showbiz/entertainment and fashion/clothing offers from India and Pakistan on the table for me. I will choose which are appealing in the near future. I would definitely want to take up acting and look forward to opportunities!" Aamna said. On being further asked if there was any particular director she would like to work with, Aamna said, Bollywood offers, regardless of director or producer which are appealing to me will be viewed!"
"If Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's and my paths were to connect, I would share with her that I enjoyed watching her movies, that I admire her striking beauty, makeup looks, flawless dancing skills, her superb roles, and her charm. I have always been a fan of hers!" Aamna revealed.
