Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have been dating for the last six years
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have set many a heart aflutter with their on-screen and off-screen chemistry. They gave their fans the biggest surprise of their lives when they officially announced their wedding date, on Sunday.
Yes! Bollywood's most loved couple is all set to get hitched on November 15, 2018. Interestingly, the date also marks five-years of their first film - Ramleela's release.
It was the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela' (that released in November 2013), where Deepika and Ranveer first met. The couple had always been notoriously evasive about their relationship status. Deepika, for the first time, admitted that she has been in a relationship with Ranveer since 6 years on 'Koffee With Karan 6' premiere episode.

Deepika Padukone left the audience in shock at a recent event when she said that her first impression of boyfriend Ranveer Singh was, “He’s not my type.” Deepika said that she watched Ranveer’s debut film, Band Baja Baarat, and remembers having a conversation about him with her then agent. Deepika’s agent was convinced that Ranveer was destined to become a huge star, to which she said, “I’m not so sure. He’s not my type.”
Deepika's impression of Ranveer, however changed when they started working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram-Leela. "For people who don't know him, he might come across as attention-seeking. And, I completely understand that because I have to admit I had the same impression of him when he was doing Band Bajaa Baarat. I'd feel like he is too much, too loud and too this and too that. Until we started doing Ram-Leela together and before that during all our workshops is when I realised that what you see is what you get."
When they perfectly captured the fact that even when you're madly in love with someone, you still sometimes wanna shoot them.
In an interview with a leading magazine, when asked to speak about her relation with Ranveer, Deepika had said, "When there are people you connect with in your life, your relationship is bound to evolve. It should move forward. I think both of us have managed to find that in each other. It feels great to find someone who is dependable, who you can trust, who puts you before himself," she said.
"He is fun to be with, but also sensitive, emotional, honest, and dependable. Most importantly, he is my best friend. That's what I could see in him when we first met, and that's what we have evolved into," the actress added.
Ranveer has always been a huge fan of hers. Singh in an interview revealed that he couldn’t take his eyes off Padukone when he saw her for the first time at the Zee Cine Awards in Macau in 2012. He went on to describe the silver gown that she was wearing and his degree of fascination towards her. And, when a fan later quizzed him about how he remembered such fine details about that evening, he asked: “How can one possibly forget the sight?.” Enough said!
Ranveer captioned the image as, "Leela to my Ram...Mastani to my Bajirao... Best Actress to my Best Actor Koi Shaq?"

"I'm not saying that Ranveer does shit films but truly the last good thing he was in was Deepika Padukone," Karan Johar said at the AIB Roast.
Every time they completely disregarded log kya kahenge and indulged in however much PDA they wanted to.
Whe Deepika went public about her battle with depression, a proud Ranveer said, "I was in tears when I watched her talking about it (her depression) on a TV chat show. It takes a lot of mental and emotional fortitude to come out with something that has such a large (social) stigma attached to it. Deepika has won me over for life with the kind of strength and courage she has. It's incredible."
When Ranveer paid a surprise visit to Chennai Express' sets.
"I remember a day after Bajirao Mastani released we were just sitting together and eating chocolates. As simple as that. That's my relationship with him. I don't like to label relationships explaining this or that. It is what it is and people can make whatever they want of it!," Deepika once said in an interview.
"I love what I see. You can' t get your eyes off the screen when you are looking at her (Deepika)," Ranveer once said.
"Everything other than the most obvious. I am bored when people say they love his (Ranveer's) energy. The man has so much more," Deepika told Filmfare Middle East.
"He is an extremely good human being. He is kind and good to people. He is very real, emotional and sensitive. He is a man who is not afraid to cry and I love that about him. He is a man," she added.
Deepika is extremely fond of babies and hence when Karan asked her to choose between babies and movies on Koffee With Karan, she said, "Babies with Movies"
Deepika and Ranveer put all rumours and speculations to rest on October 21 as they officially announced their wedding dates. Bollywood's most gorgeous couple will tie the knot on November 15, this year.
