Deepika Padukone left the audience in shock at a recent event when she said that her first impression of boyfriend Ranveer Singh was, “He’s not my type.” Deepika said that she watched Ranveer’s debut film, Band Baja Baarat, and remembers having a conversation about him with her then agent. Deepika’s agent was convinced that Ranveer was destined to become a huge star, to which she said, “I’m not so sure. He’s not my type.”
2.How Ram-Leela changed that perception..
Deepika's impression of Ranveer, however changed when they started working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram-Leela. "For people who don't know him, he might come across as attention-seeking. And, I completely understand that because I have to admit I had the same impression of him when he was doing Band Bajaa Baarat. I'd feel like he is too much, too loud and too this and too that. Until we started doing Ram-Leela together and before that during all our workshops is when I realised that what you see is what you get."

5.'Ranveer puts me before himself'
In an interview with a leading magazine, when asked to speak about her relation with Ranveer, Deepika had said, "When there are people you connect with in your life, your relationship is bound to evolve. It should move forward. I think both of us have managed to find that in each other. It feels great to find someone who is dependable, who you can trust, who puts you before himself," she said.
"He is fun to be with, but also sensitive, emotional, honest, and dependable. Most importantly, he is my best friend. That's what I could see in him when we first met, and that's what we have evolved into," the actress added.
6.Every time Ranveer fawned over Deepika in public
Ranveer has always been a huge fan of hers. Singh in an interview revealed that he couldn’t take his eyes off Padukone when he saw her for the first time at the Zee Cine Awards in Macau in 2012. He went on to describe the silver gown that she was wearing and his degree of fascination towards her. And, when a fan later quizzed him about how he remembered such fine details about that evening, he asked: “How can one possibly forget the sight?.” Enough said!
