The movie, whose title changed from 'Laxmmi Bomb' to 'Laxmii', is now slated for release on Disney+Hotstar on November 9. However, before watching the movie, there are a few actors who worked in similar roles who deserve your time.

For example, Sarath Kumar, who worked in 'Kanchana', which has been adapted in Hindi as 'Laxmii'. While Makarand Deshpande played the role of a transgender in 'Sadak 2', the original actor, Sadashv Amrapurkar, took the floor with his role in 'Sadak'. And how could one even forget Ashutosh Rana's role in 'Sangharsh'?

Here are some films you should catch up on before watching Akshay as 'Laxmii'...

Watching Sarath Kumar in 'Kanchana' will make you realize why you have got to see its Hindi remake 'Laxmii'. The Tamil-language horror film has its sequels too.

Ashutosh Rana as Lajja Shankar Pandey in 'Sangharsh' has terrified kids. In a scene after his character gets shot by a bullet, it bites a man and scares the female lead Preity Zinta to no extent.

Mahesh Bhatt's Sadak' would have been just another average love story if it didn't have the kind of villain it did in 'Maharani' Sadashiv Amrapurkar. But don't just take our word for it. Go and watch the movie to witness the magic of the late actor, by yourself.

A scene in 'Super Deluxe' is sure to impress you - inside the police station with a lustful cop Bhagavathy Perumal where 'Shilpa' Vijay Sethupathi reveals its gender.

Jayasurya has gone on record to say 'Njan Marykutty' is his gift to the LGBTQ community. He even bagged the best actor award at the Indian Film Festival of Cincinnati held in Cincinnati in USA, which speak volumes about the role.
