Not many know this but Utkarsh Sharma is the son of ‘Gadar’ director Anil Sharma.
‘Gadar: A Prem Katha’ has completed 20 glorious years of its release. The film by many is called the ‘Titanic’ of Bollywood. ‘Gadar’ is a period romantic action drama film directed by Anil Sharma and set during the Partition of India in 1947.
Completing 20 years of the film is a nostalgic affair for its cast and crew as they took to their social media accounts to celebrate the feat. Apart from Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, the film also stars Amrish Puri, Vivek Shauq and Utkarsh Sharma in pivotal roles.

While speaking to Mid Day, a source close to the director said, “While Sunny and Ameesha Patel will be a part of the story, the director’s son Utkarsh, who essayed the role of their son Jeeta in the original, will play a pivotal part.”

Utkarsh’s father, Anil Sharma tor Indian Express, “I feel proud as a father. Utkarsh has been getting good offers too, but just because of the coronavirus, we aren’t able to make the final decision on what to sign next. There are 3-4 projects and once the situation settles down, he’ll take a call.”
He added, “He’s still a kid. He has a lot of time in hand. We made our journey, he’ll make his own.”
