Swara Bhasker has been trending on Twitter after a speech from her recent protest has gone viral. Twitter has accused her of inciting violence and even stated that she is the reason Delhi is burning. For the same reason, #ArrestSwaraBhasker has been trending on the social media platform for a long time.

While Swara mentioned in her speech that this has been a 90-year-long journey, Twitterati has accused her of spewing poison for a long time. One Twitterati questioned why the actress did not open up when a police officer was killed too.

Take a look:

Here's the speech which has Twitter buzzing:

Swara began her speech stating, "I think we have now reached a place where we have to accept that the fear that we had about what would happen, has happened. We are in a country where our Supreme court states that the demolition of Babri Masjid was unlawful and in the same judgment rewards the same people who brought down the mosque. So it has arrived - the unspeakable fear exists. We are living it now. We are at that moment when the uniform personnel who take oaths by placing their hands on our Constitution attack unarmed Muslims, destroy their properties, abuse them, barge into their homes only because (I don't know) eat non-veg? I don't even know what the reason is."

"I think it becomes absolutely imperative to ask ourselves what do we do in a society when we are more bothered by the fact that a stand-up comic heckled someone in a flight than we are bothered by the fact that people are allowed to roam around with guns and shoot (claps and shouting). What do we do with the concept of civilization that doesn't consider murder wrong but considers impoliteness to be a crime? What do we do with the concept of civilization? What do we do when the people who are supposed to enforce law and order do not believe in the law themselves? That is the question to ask ourselves. We are ruled by a Government that does not believe in our Constitution. We are ruled by police forces that do not believe in the Constitution. It seems we are now in a situation where our courts are not sure whether they believe in the Constitution or not. What then do we do? And it seems to me, as everyone has said, that path is clear to us and it has been shown to us by you all, whoever of you all have been part of the protest - by the students, by the women, and by the citizen protestors. It is to resist," added the actress.

She also mentioned, "And I think just taking a cue from what Rasika said, I think it's imperative to understand that this is not one government. This is that same shitty ideology, and I am sorry I am not being polite because you know what, fuck your politeness (cheers and clapping). Really, fuck your politeness. Yeah, because really this is all we have anymore as law-abiding citizens, at least it's not yet criminal to swear (people laugh and cheer). Again, taking a cue from what Rasika said, it is to understand that this is a 90-year project. This project began in 1925, and it continues, so what we are saying today is really very hard work. I mean credit where due. They are all very hardworking, diligent, disciplined people. This is 90 years of work. So we have a long road ahead of us."

"But I think that hate and that enemy, it's not just in one government or one people or one jackass minister who makes a speech that incites some young bigger jackass to pick up a gun. I think the fight is at home. It is also that threat and that enemy is that thinking we get every morning on our family WhatsApp groups. That we feel too polite to respond to because we are well-bred people. We are good children, our parents taught us manners. So we don't reply to that uncle or that aunt or that grandmother-grandfather, whoever it is. Because you know, we are polite. And you know we don't want to fight. But you know what, I think it is time to actually start answering those messages on those WhatsApp groups. I think that when we talk about resistance, which is really the only way forward, I think we have to find ways to resist at every step, at every single step. I would urge all of us, and I'm sure you all agree, but still, again, begs repetition. I think we should see Kunal Kamra's act as an act of resistance. That was an act of protest. It doesn't have to be polite," concluded Swara.
