Well, while a lot of them have earned degrees in various fields including arts and economics, some others did not complete graduation since they were destined to be in the industry and so dropped out and pursued something they were passionate about. 1. Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh

Deepika Padukone completed her schooling at Bangalore's Sophia High School and her pre-university at Mount Carmel College. Later, she enrolled at the Indira Gandhi National Open University for a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology but dropped out due to her modelling career.

Ranveer Singh studied at  H.R. College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai. Later, he went to the United States where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University.

Raised in Bangalore, Anushka Sharma received education at the Army School there and got a degree in arts from Mount Carmel College.

Virat Kohli started his schooling at Vishal Bharti Public School. In 1998, Kohli, 9, had joined the West Delhi Cricket Academy. In ninth grade, Kohli shifted to Saviour Convent in Paschim Vihar to help his cricket practice. Kohli concentrated on cricket after he completed his schooling. And the rest as they say is history.

4. Akshay Kumar-Twinkle Khanna

Superstar Akshay Kumar attended Don Bosco High School, Matunga, Mumbai and simultaneously learnt Karate. Later, he enrolled at Guru Nanak Khalsa College for higher education, but dropped out. However, Akshay coaxed his father into allowing him to learn martial arts further. That is how he went to Bangkok to learn martial arts and lived in Thailand for five years learning Thai Boxing. He did odd jobs before finally getting a break in films. 

Dimple Kapadia and Rajesh Khanna's elder daughter, Twinkle Khanna attended the New Era High School, Panchgani and the Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics. After her higher secondary, Twinkle gave the examination to pursue a career as a chartered accountant but gave that up and instead joined the film industry. 

5. Shah Rukh Khan-Gauri Khan

Born on November 2, 1965, to Mir Taj Muhammad Khan and Lateef Fatima, Shah Rukh Khan completed his schooling at St. Columba's School in central Delhi. He had a keen interest in sports and was selected as the captain of the school Hockey, Football and Cricket all at the same time. he also received the school's highest award, the Sword of Honour. Initially, SRK aspired to pursue a career in sports, but a shoulder injury prevented him from pursuing that dream. He later started acting in stage plays. Moving on towards his further education, Khan completed B.A in Economics from Hansraj College. He also participated extensively in Delhi’s Theatre Action Group under the mentorship of Barry John. SRK later also enrolled at Jamia Millia Islamia to get a Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication. However, he had to drop out due to certain reasons. For some time, he even attended the National School of Drama during the early days of his career in Hindi films. 


Gauri Khan, previously Gauri Chibber, completed her schooling at Loreto Convent School. She completed higher secondary from Modern School, Delhi; and graduated from Lady Shri Ram College with B.A. (Hons.). Gauri also did a  six-month course in fashion design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology. 

6. Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor Khan

Saif Ali Khan studied at The Lawrence School, Sanawar in Himachal Pradesh. At the age of nine, he was sent to Lockers Park School in Hertfordshire. Later, he graduated from Winchester College. 


Kareena Kapoor Khan attended Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai and then went to Welham Girls' School in Dehradun. After Welham, Kareena studied commerce for two years at Mithibai College and then registered for a three-month summer course in microcomputers at Harvard Summer School in the United States. She later enrolled at the Government Law College, Mumbai. However, after completing her first year, she dropped out to pursue a career in acting. 

7. Shahid Kapoor-Mira Rajput

Mira Rajput attended Vasant Valley School in Delhi and completed her graduation in English Honors from Lady Shriram College, Delhi. 

8. Ajay Devgn-Kajol

Aishwarya later enrolled at Rachana Sansad Academy of Architecture but dropped out to pursue a career in modelling.
