Amitabh Bachchan has turned 78-year-old today. The actor can proudly boast of a long-standing career in the Bollywood film industry - one of 51 years (half a century). Of course, he has seen his ups and downs, but the actor has received a lot of love from his fans within and outside the industry.

One proof of how much people love him, are in the form of remakes of his films. The fans - whether Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan or even Rajinikanth - had adored looking at Amitabh Bachchan in a few films, and then, aced the roles themselves.

Amitabh Bachchan's huge fan Shah Rukh Khan featured in the remake of Big B's 1978 film 'Don'. The movie was so loved that it is now a franchise.

Amitabh Bachchan has lived through 'Sholay'. In the original film, he played the protagonist 'Jai', while in the remake, 'Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag', the actor played the protagonist Gabbar Singh, previously performed by late actor Amjed Khan.

Who can ever forget Vijay Dinanath Chauhan from the 1990 release 'Agneepath'? 'Greek God' Hrithik Roshan stepped into Amitabh Bachchan's shoes in 2012 and surprised one and all with a powerful performance. Also, another shoutout to 'Rauf Lala' played by late Rishi Kapoor.

Amitabh Bachchan found himself another fan after his 1973 film 'Zanjeer' was remade in 2013 with Ram Charan and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles.
