While Amitabh Bachchan remembered father Harivanshrai Bachchan, Dharmendra thanked Narendra Modi
Amitabh Bachchan was one of the celebrities who supported '9 pm 9 minutes' call by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The superstar however remembered his father Harivanshrai Bachchan's poem while doing so. He shared a photo of him with the torch and began the poem writing, "Hai andheri raat par diya jalaana kab mana hai." On that note, Amitabh Bachchan left his fans wanting more, but promised to share it on video which he would release by the end of the day.
Along with Amitabh, his peers Dharmendra and Hema Malini also showed support for '9 baje 9 minute'. Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Preity Zinta, Karisma Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Anupam Kher and Anil Kapoor were also seen participating in it.

Amitabh Bachchan went on to share a poem written by his father Harivanshrai Bachchan. More so, the superstar called it an epic poem and how visionary it was proven during '9 pm 9 minutes'. Sharing an image of him holding a torch, he wrote, "Yes the night is dark, but who did stop you from lighting a lamp.. another epic poem of my Father.. and how visionary it has proven tonight.. for the #9PM9minute call.. Will put up the entire poem by tomorrow.. on video!!"

2. Dharmendra
Dharmendra used a tiki torch to send his message. He praised Narendra Modi and urged everyone to follow his call for lighting candles and diyas.

Sharing images of lighting candles with daughter Esha Deol and son-in-law Bharat, 'dream girl' Hema Malini wrote, "As our Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji urged citizens of India to light candles and show solidarity towards people who are relentlessly working for us and fighting against #Coronavirus. My daughter Esha and son in law Bharat joined me in lighting diyas and candles. Together lets fight the situation. Stay strong. Stay safe. Jai Hind."

Talking in Marathi about how her team has been helping them, Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Dr. Nene thanked everyone for the efforts and showed support in fight against coronavirus.
5. Preity Zinta
Preity Zinta also shared an image of herself with a candle and wrote, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that!"
6. Karisma Kapoor
Karisma Kapoor was seen gazing into the diya in the image she shared. The actress simply captioned the image, "Jai Hind #UnityForHumanity"
7. Shilpa Shetty Kundra
"We did it.. Hope you did too. Sending everyone, love , light and gratitude. Thankyou @narendramodi ji for suggesting this gesture and lighting up our lives with positivity and strength We will overcome this.... Together," wrote Shilpa while sharing the video of her with the candle.
8. Anupam Kher
Anupam Kher also posted a video of him with candles and shared, "O Almighty!! Let this symbolic gesture of 1.3 Billion Indians lighting lamps or candles heal the entire world. Thank you Prime Minister @narendramodi for suggesting this."
9. Anil Kapoor
Apart from lighting candles and diyas, Anil Kapoor's house had Ganesha arti playing in the background, in the video shared by Anil.
