Amitabh Bachchan
In 2007, Amitabh Bachchan received backlash for playing the role of Babban Singh the main antagonist in the remake of Sholay titled Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag. During an interaction with a media agency, when quizzed about the failure of the film, the legendary actor stated, "That you ask him (Ram Gopal Varma). Whenever a film is made and I am part of it. Whatever mistakes would have happened (failure) or whatever good things would have happened I take responsibility for that. I feel an actor and a director should be held responsible for the failure of a film. I won't say I made a mistake. I worked on the film with all honesty. Maybe it was not the right decision, we accept that."
Big B added, "I can't put my finger on it. I feel if I am part of a remake film I take it as a compliment. Whether a film should be remade or not is the decision of producers and artists involved. Some films have been made and they have been successful but it is a debate. In a way, it is like complementing the original and in a way saying don't touch the original because that is the best."
Katrina Kaif
Katrina Kaif's debut film is Boom which she wishes to wipe off from her filmography. Earlier during an interaction with The Times of India, the actor had shared, "The film wasn't planned, it just happened. It might not be a great launching pad, but I get to work with a legend like Amitabh Bachchan. When I signed the film, I was not aware of Indian culture and tradition. Had I known that aspect of India, I would not have done the film. I would not do anything like that again. And if this means that I won't get to do films anymore, I won't, especially if filmmakers expect me to do all the stuff that they see in Boom."
Twinkle Khanna
Twinkle Khanna often tells that her film Mela was the last resort and she hardly took a look back at acting. The writer once wrote on her Instagram page, "Certain things, I suppose, are timeless! This popped up in my messages today and what can I say except Mela has certainly left a mark or a scar, whichever way you look at it, on me and the rest of the nation."
