2018 Bollywood Viral Photos: Alia-Ranbir's 'inaugural' pic, Suhana Khan's Vogue cover, Salman Khan in Jodhpur jail

Alia Bhatt grabbed eyeballs in May when she sashayed into Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's star-studded wedding reception with Ranbir Kapoor (who was until then just her 'Brahmastra' co-star). Lil' Ms Bhatt instagrammed the moment in a caption-less post, which Karan Johar later called their 'inaugural' picture.  Ranbir later accepted their relationship publically. Talking to GQ in an interview, he said in reply to the question whether he is dating Alia, “It’s really new right now."

Ranbir-Alia, however, were not the only couple to make their relationship official. Varun Dhawan - Natasha Dalal, Farhan Akhtar - Shibani Dandekar, Arjun Rampal - Gabriella Demetriades and Malaika Arora - Arjun Kapoor also sung, “Khullam Khulla Pyaar Karenge...” this year. They caused a flutter just by being seated next to each other at the Lakme Fashion Week.

On April 5, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was sentenced to five years in prison after he was convicted of killing two blackbucks in 1998 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.The actor was kept in a cell amid tight security. The 52-year-old actor was released after a sessions court approved his bail application.

Such was the extent of the virality that Abhishek himself had to offer an explanation. Replying to a curious fan, Abhishek tweeted, "It is a tradition called Sajjan Ghot. The bride's family feeds the groom's family (sic)."

'Sui Dhaaga - Made In India' memes starring Anushka Sharma blessed Instagram and Twitter timelines with abundance, this year. They involved a crying Mamta (Anuska's charater in Sui Dhaaga) juxtaposed in the most odd of places and situations and they had the entire nation, including Anushka herself, in splits. 

A picture of a pot-bellied Kapil went viral from a supermarket in Amsterdam earlier this year and it got his fans extremely worried about the comedian's health for he looked a far cry from his old fit-self. However, that was in July. Today, Kapil is on his path to recovery and is all set to make his television comeback. 

In August, Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana Khan posed for her first magazine cover and reignited the nepotism debate. Suhana’s Vogue cover sparked amusing memes, tweets and a lot of hate comments.

Daniel Weber shared a picture of himself with his wife Sunny Leone and daughter Nisha on Father's Day and social media trolls just couldn't stop themselves from spewing venom. Daniel, who is also Sunny's manager, shared the post of the trio in a relaxed moment with his Instafam. They received several compliments and some negative comments, which are too vile to be reproduced here. A section of the Internet thought it was an inappropriate picture and schooled Sunny Leone for it. But her fans took care of the haters and wrote in support of the parents.

Sridevi's elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor turned 21 on March 6, just 10 days after the superstar accidentally drowned at a hotel bathtub in Dubai. After days of mourning her mother's death, Janhvi's birthday was the first time in days that the Internet spotted her smiling in photos. But a section of the Internet found it insensitive on Janhvi's part to celebrate her birthday within just a few days of her mother's death. Not just Janhvi, but the other Kapoors who were with her on her 21st birthday - Khushi (Sridevi's younger daughter), Sonam and Rhea Kapoor, Shanaya, Jahaan and Anshula Kapoor - were also trolled for sharing the birthday photos on social media.
