Hrithik Roshan-Preity Zinta's film 'Koi Mil Gaya', directed by Rakesh Roshan, has completed 17 years since release. The moive has now, of course, become a superhero franchise. But it was the first and only film which featured the much-loved, friendly alien called Jadoo.

Despite being lost on earth, Jadoo rescued Rohit Mehra after his father Sanjay Mehra discovered that aliens respond to the sound 'Om Om Om Om'. Then, of course, as the name suggests, Jadoo spread his magic and won our hearts with his more-humanly ways than most humans.

As 'Koi Mil Gaya' completes 17 years, here's looking back at 5 reasons we miss the friendliest alien Bollywood has seen so far:

1. The scared-yet-friendly alien

Despite being scared about being on earth, Jadoo finds its ways and becomes friends with everyone it meets. It literally is the most popular character in the film.

2. Cute as a button

Bollywood has not explored many films around aliens, but when 'Koi Mil Gaya' did introduce Jadoo, it looked cute as a button. Just look at the scene where Jadoo meets Rohit Mehra for the first time and you would know.

3. 'It's Magic, It's Magic'

Jadoo heals Rohit Mehra and all of a sudden, Mehra has superpowers. We miss seeing the unexpected break dance from Hrithik, which came in the form of 'Koi Mil Gaya' song 'It's Magic, It's Magic'.

4. How Jadoo became Hrithik's best friend

Do we not simply love how attached Jadoo and Rohit Mehra became by the end of the movie? Where Mehra, who couldn't even protect himself in the beginning of the film, went on to give his everything to protect an alien - Jadoo, by the climax of the film.

5. Nothing has come close to Jadoo of 'Koi Mil Gaya'

There was a TV spinoff on the character of Jadoo called 'J Bole Toh Jadoo', but it never came close to the Jadoo of the film.
