The film which marked the debut of one of the most sought after actresses in Bollywood, Anushka Sharma, completed 10 years of its release on Wednesday.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, the film which gave wings to Anushka's career, also starred superstar Shah Rukh Khan in a double role and went on to become a hit at that time.

Released on December 12, 2008, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, directed by Aditya Chopra, saw Shah Rukh in an all new avatar, and is still fresh in the minds of the audience.

Its peppy songs, lovely storyline and freshness struck chords with the viewers and yet remains to be one of the most loved films.

As the film clocks 10 years on Wednesday, we bring to you 7 lesser known facts about the film.

The dancing jodi motif seen throughout the film, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, is the famous Raj Kapoor logo, which was designed after a scene between Raj Kapoor and Nargis in the film Barsaat (1949)

Shah Rukh Khan palys a double role in the romantic drama. The two different looks of the actor in the film were inspired by two contestants from the game show 'Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?' (2008)  

The song 'Haule Haule' was shot in three takes. Shah Rukh Khan improvised most of his dance moves throughout the shoot. He later said that while he felt uncomfortable wearing the wig and moustache, it was one of the most relaxing songs he had ever shot

The name of Vinay Pathak's salon in 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' was 'Bobby's Head Turner'!

Anushka Sharma failed to recognise Shahrukh Khan when she first met him as the actor was dressed in his 'Suri' outfit and looked very different

The title of the Anushka Sharma-Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi', was inspired from a song in Amitabh Bachchan-Rekha-starrer 'Suhag'. Also, in Bollywood the term 'Rab' was used for the first time in the title of this film

Interestingly, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and not Anushka Sharma, was the first choice to play the lead role opposite Shahrukh Khan in 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'
