Actor-singer Zara Khan, daughter of veteran actor and singer Salma Agha, has filed a complaint against a woman, who sent death threats and vulgar messages to her on Instagram. The complaint was filed on November 6 against a 23-year-old female from Hyderabad.

"The accused sent vulgar messages and murder threats on Instagram. A duplicate Instagram account was made by the accused. We wrote a letter to Instagram who helped us," Senior inspector Dayanand Bangar, Oshiwara police station, told IANS.

"We sent a notice on Friday. The officer who had gone to give the notice found that she was not responding properly. She was not ready to come only. Medical treatment is yet to be done, but she looked mentally disturbed. She didn't react like a normal person," he added.

Back in 2011, Salma and Zara had filed a complaint after an alleged MMS clip featuring the latter got circulated. Talking about the same, the yesteryear actor had told DNA, "The video is morphed and the accused should be arrested as soon as possible. We met the police commissioner and informed him that the Oshiwara police have not taken any action in the case. We have requested him to conduct a speedy investigation into the case."

Zara, earlier known as Sashaa Agha has worked in films like Aurangzeb and Desi Kattey. She had made her debut opposite Arjun Kapoor in the film Aurangzeb produced by Yash Raj Films and released in the year 2013. The film also starred late actor Rishi Kapoor and Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran in a pivotal role.
