Varun Dhawan and Neetu Kapoor are reportedly tested positive for coronavirus along with the director of their film Jug Jugg Jeeyo, Raj Mehta. It was rumoured that even Anil Kapoor has been diagnosed with COVID-19, the actor put out a clarification stating he has been tested negative. For safety precautions, Anil returned to Mumbai from Chandigarh where the shooting was taking place. The actor was clicked at the Mumbai airport during late-night hours.

Anil made his way out of the private airport in Kalina and waved to the paparazzi present there while getting clicked. He was seen in an all-black look wearing a black mesh sweater with a white printed T-Shirt and jeans. He carried a leather jacket in his hand and wore a fedora hat too. A pair of golden tinted Lennons, black sneakers and a black mask completed his look out.

Anil on Friday tweeted from his verified account to put an end to rumours that he has tested COVID-19 positive. "In the interest of putting any rumours to rest, I have tested negative for COVID-19. Thank you all for your concern and good wishes," Anil Kapoor tweeted on Friday.

Denying unconfirmed reports that her father Anil has tested positive, Sonam Kapoor has subsequently tweeted: "False reporting is dangerous. I'm sitting in London and I see incorrect information peddled by some parts of the media before I can even speak to my father. Please be responsible in your reportage."

Varun, Neetu and Anil, as well as Kiara Advani, are part of Raj Mehta's unit at the Chandigarh outdoor of the film. The shoot of Jug Jugg Jeeyo has reportedly been put on hold for now.
