Police issues notice to Guru Randhawa, Sussanne Khan after raid at Mumbai club; Badshah escapes from back door

On Monday at 2:30 am, Mumbai Police raided Dragonfly club where many Bollywood celebrities like Sussanne Khan, Suresh Raina, Guru Randhawa were present. 
 
A notice has been issued on a total of 34 people by the Mumbai Police under Section 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and provisions of NMDA. The accused were booked for violating COVID-19 norms.

According to Police sources, Dragonfly Restobar is co-owned by Rapper Badshah who was also present at the restaurant but escaped from the back door.

In a media byte in 2018 during the launch of the bar, Badshah had said that he collaborated with his longtime friend Priyank Sukhija, the owner of First Fiddle Restaurants. 

Badshah had said, "Resto Bar Dragonfly will change the game for the public. It’s a place where you can go, chill, have fun with drinks and dance. Priyank is a very good friend of mine and it was an amazing experience working with him. He’s a very hardworking guy and in fact, I have learned a lot from him. He's a young bright kid, very passionate also he just needs to stay focused." 

Meanwhile, First Fiddle Restaurant owner and MD, Priyank Sukhija, had added, "I am extremely happy to announce the opening of Dragonfly with my longtime friend, Badshah. We have always thought of partnering together professionally and found a common ground on building a brand like Dragonfly. I am excited and we hope to take this brand from strength to strength and pave way for future alliances and able partnerships." 

On Monday, the Maharashtra government had declared a night curfew in municipal corporation areas as a precautionary step amid growing concerns over a new coronavirus variant spreading in Britain.

Ahead of the New Year, the Maharashtra government also imposed a series of restrictions in the state and particularly in Mumbai from December 22 to January 5 as a precautionary step.
