'I believe I could've been more careful': Varun Dhawan on testing COVID-19 positive

Varun Dhawan posted a note on his Instagram page wherein he gave an update about being tested positive for coronavirus.

It was reported a few days back that a few members from the team of Jug Jugg Jeeyo including Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Maniesh Paul and director Raj Mehta have been tested positive for coronavirus. Anil Kapoor, who tested negative headed back to Mumbai from Chandigarh where the shooting was taking place. Now, Varun took to his Instagram page and shared a photo posing with friends virtually and wrote about being coronavirus positive.

Varun's caption read as "So as I returned to work in the pandemic era, I have contracted #COVID_19 the production took all precautions, but still, nothing is certain in life, especially not COVID-19. So please be extra careful I believe I could have been more careful. I see the get well soon messages and my spirits are high taking each day at a time. Thank you."

Anil Kapoor had clarified that he is tested negative after several speculations. He tweeted, "In the interest of putting any rumours to rest, I have tested negative for COVID-19. Thank you all for your concern and good wishes."

Jug Jugg Jeeyo also stars YouTube sensation Prajakta Koli making her Bollywood debut.

Meanwhile, talking about Varun, the actor is gearing up for the promotions of his soon-to-be-streamed film Coolie No 1 in which he is paired opposite Sara Ali Khan for the first time. The movie marks David Dhawan's 45th directorial and will be out on Amazon Prime Video from December 25, 2020.
