Karan Kapadia, who is currently being seen in Amazon Prime Video original film Durgamati has been in the news for different reasons too. During her recent interview with Christopher Nolan, Twinkle Khanna talked about Karan's photo with Tenet helmer and the interesting caption he put for it. While auditioning for her role Priya in the latest film, Dimple Kapadia had taken Karan with her to meet Nolan. Now, during an Exclusive interaction with DNA, the newcomer spoke about his side of the story.

Karan told us, "The only anecdote I have is that picture that I clicked with him and the sort of caption that I put up which became this whole thing. But apart from that, my aunt was there, obviously, to test out for the part. So she was there for business, on work. So it wasn't about me meeting him, even though she's saying it is. But yeah, of course, she was there in a professional capacity. So it was more about the work at that time. So, I said 'hi', spoke to him for maybe like three seconds, clicked a picture and that's it. My aunt was then back to work. So, that's all there was to it."

Talking about Dimple's performance in Tenet, Karan shared, "I think it's an incredible performance. I had the opportunity to watch the film before some people because she's a part of it. They organized a little screening and seeing her work with these brilliant actors and of course, Christopher Nolan, who had been such a huge fan of growing up. I know she admires him and his work as well. So to see her collaborating with such amazing people, I couldn't have been prouder of her. She's such an inspiration year after 50 years, she still surprising everybody with the kind of work that she's doing."

Karan has been raised by women in his family including his grandmother, mom Simple Kapadia, aunt Dimple and sisters Twinkle Khanna and Rinke Khanna. Calling his entire childhood memorable, the actor said, "I think my entire childhood. My sisters are 20 years older than me. So apart from being my sister, they're also like my mothers. They were organizing birthday parties for me, taking me to school. I think everybody sort of shared that responsibility. I was just lucky to have very amazing, strong, independent, ambitious women who raised me and I wouldn't be the man I am without them. So yeah, they've just been incredibly loving and supporting. I'm just grateful for everything that I have. I think it's because of them."

When asked if they are his strongest critics, the Blank actor shared, "I mean, they're honest if they don't like something they tell me. I mean my sisters are but my aunt is like a blind fan. Even if I do something really bad, she'll tell me that, it's amazing or I deserve an Oscar for it. I'm exaggerating, but you know what I mean? She is my mother now, so she comes from a place of love and support. If you don't say I become complacent in regards to something, they will let me know about it."
