On Wednesday night, a group of prisoners in Parappana Agrahara Central jail saw a TV news bulletin about Neha’s death. Later, the prisoner’s took Farooq into a cell and physically assaulted him. The police rushed Farooq to the jail hospital when he had difficulty breathing, said a police officer. Later, Farooq was shifted to block number three — the high-security wing where former minister G Janardhana Reddy has been lodged.
