Upset lover slits wrists, throat in Bangalore
A 24-year-old man allegedly attempted to commit suicide in front of the house of his lover, a minor, in Ulsoor on Thursday night.
A 24-year-old man allegedly attempted to commit suicide in front of the house of his lover, a minor, in Ulsoor on Thursday night.Identified as Munikrishna, the youth was arrested two years ago for allegedly kidnapping his minor lover. He was held following a complaint filed by the girl’s parents. Munikrishna was later released on bail.
The incident occurred at 10pm on Thursday when Munikrishna went to the girl’s house to convince her parents to withdraw the case against him. His plea was rejected by the girl’s father Deendayal and mother Sumitra.
Munikrishna then asked the girl to come out of the house.
However, the girl did not respond. He then decided to slit his hands and throat with a blade. The police were informed that a man was lying on the road in a pool of blood. They shifted Munikrishna to Bowring Hospital. A case of attempt to commit suicide has been registered. Munikrishna later alleged that the girl’s parents attacked him.
