Parents of Sanjana Singh—who had died when a sub-standard compound wall collapsed on her two years ago during a downpour—visited Subramanyanagar police station on Saturday to enquire about the progress of the case.

Then a class XI student, Singh had come under the compound wall near Veterinary Medical College at CBI Junction on June 1, 2010. It turned out that the contractor who had built that wall had done a shoddy work. The police case is still under way.

After visiting the police station on Saturday, the victim’s father, Ashok, said they learnt that the case was referred back to Sanjaynagar police. Also, a chargesheet has been filed in the case 10 days ago. The case will come up for hearing before the 8th additional chief metropolitan magistrate on June 27.
