Rajesh Gundu Rao, son of former chief minister Gundu Rao, has decided to quit from the post of vice-president of JD(S) Bangalore unit. Rajesh, who was reportedly assured by party state president HD Kumaraswamy of being appointed the state president of the party’s youth wing, has decided to quit in protest against the alleged betrayal as Madhu Bangarappa has been made the youth JD(S) president.

“I am not quitting because I am hankering for any post, but because I have been humiliated and hurt. I have worked hard and honestly for the party all these years. I will continue to work as an ordinary party worker. I cannot compromise on my self-respect,” said Rajesh.
