A day after Lok Ayukta sleuths raided properties of former BBMP commissioner Siddaiah, Karnataka Neeravari Nigama MD MA Sadiq and deputy general manager of Upper Krishna Project, MV Veerabhadraiah, and seized wealth worth more than Rs5.88 crore on Tuesday, the officials received more information about their properties.

On Wednesday, it was revealed that Siddaiah owns 80 acres of land—on Tuesday, the initial estimate was that Siddaiah owned 120 acres—and that Veerabhadraiah allegedly owned a commercial complex, two bank accounts in Chandra Layout, bank account in a co-operative bank in Amarjyotinagar. “People approached us soon after the raids on Tuesday. They are giving information about assets owned by officials. While we don’t know why they are doing this, it is helping us to gather information,” said an officer. Some people came in person, while others sent text messages and some sent letters.

Officials received information about Veerabhadraiah’s properties that were not unearthed, on Wednesday. Information about Sadiq’s and Siddaiah’s properties, too, was sent on Wednesday. Most of the information provided by anonymous sources is true, said officials.
