Appiness Interactive, a creative agency concentrating on digital media and technology, have released a new Facebook application which gives its users a unique opportunity to join cricket stars at their IPL after-parties.
The application, ‘Livewire’, is described by Appiness Interactive as “a web app that lets you taste stardom for real”, as users can view the after-party through an online stream.
The initiative has been put together in association with four IPL teams—Kings Eleven Punjab, Bangalore Royal Challengers, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals— that will be attending the after-parties.
Discussing about the new application, founder and CEO of Appiness Interactive, Visakh Viswambharan, said: “Appiness aspires to create a unique experiences on the web that is aligned with reality. This particular initiative has been crafted to create an extravagant, feel-like-a-star experience. Livewire will give them a first hand feel of success and fame wherein, the user will be treated like a celebrity. We are striving to design more such exclusive, fun and creative apps for our users.”
Shedding light on the initial response that the team received since the launch of the application, Sunil P Thomas, director of Appiness Interactive, said: “At Appiness, we believe in making people happy and we are sure that a user will be happy when they use the app. Such an app is not available across the globe. We are happy that people have already started accepting it. We already have 13,000 users who have accessed the app, and the numbers keep chalking up every day.”
‘Livewire’ gives its users a chance to be part of the action through a viral-based competition. Users will have to record a video of themselves with the advertisement jingle of ‘Livewire’ in the background. There will be eight winners who will be chosen—one boy and one girl from each city—who will get the chance to take part in each party across the four different cities. The winners will be decided by Appiness Interactive, judged on the creativity of the videos.
