Newly-wed husband hangs himself over alleged harassment

A 25-year-old man committed suicide over alleged harassment by his wife on Wednesday night.

The deceased, Chandrasekhar, was a resident of Muneshwaranagar. The incident came to light around 3am on Thursday when his father woke up to attend nature’s call.

Chandrasekhar was found hanging.

The deceased, who owned two autorickshaws, had married Nagamani four months ago. She was nagging him to shift to Kanakapura Road, which is nearer to her home. She was irked when the idea was rejected and went to her parents’ house. 

Police found a suicide note that accused Nagamani of harassment. Chandrasekhar wrote that Nagamani had cast black magic to hold control over him. She was also allegedly threatening to file a dowry harassment case against him.
