He is the lone senior police officer from India to be selected along with three IAS/IPS officers for a course on public polices to be jointly conducted by Singapore University and Harvard University.

Mohan, inspector general of police (western range), based in Mangalore, is happy about his selection. But he is also conscious of the challenges ahead.

“The course will be highly demanding. Despite being a high-ranking police official in the state, I must do my homework. I should also be ready to get chided by the professors at the university,” he said in a lighter vain.

Studying public policy and its implementation and putting the lessons into practice would be a daunting task, he said.
