The Karnataka legislature committee has indicted former minister Lakshman Savadi and recommended that he be ‘admonished’ while giving clean chit to Krishna Palemar and CC Patil.

The committee concluded that there is a prima facie evidence that Savadi watched objectionable clippings on a mobile phone that did not belong to him and said his act was “unintentional”.

“There is no evidence to suggest that Patil viewed pornographic clippings on the mobile phone and Krishna Palemar was responsible for providing it,” the report said. The report said the speaker may warn him against indulging in such acts in future.

The report recommended framing of guidelines for coverage of house proceedings by TV channels and also to start a TV channel on the model of Lok Sabha TV. It also sought the ban of mobile phones in the house.
